Verdansk Is Returning To Warzone In Spring 2025

As a gamer with a heart full of nostalgia and a Guinness World Record under my belt, I couldn’t be more thrilled about the return of Verdansk to Call of Duty: Warzone! It was the battlefield where I made my mark in the gaming world, enduring countless hours of lockdowns and becoming the first person ever to secure the longest battle royale marathon record.

Activision has revealed that Verdansk will be coming back to Call of Duty: Warzone soon. This iconic location has been absent for over three years, and although it may have made a brief appearance in Warzone Mobile, the truth is, it didn’t regain its original charm.

Every Warzone gamer can trace their origins back to Verdansk. This was the initial map introduced in 2020, and since then, it has become a distinct and familiar setting for over 40 million gamers who flocked to the battle royale scene.

Return of the King

In 2025, Verdansk is coming back to Warzone, but there are still a lot of unknowns up in the air.

There’s some uncertainty about what the new version of Verdansk will look like. Most people think it won’t resemble the original Verdansk map, but we can’t predict exactly how it might have changed over the past few years. During its time as the main Warzone map, it did undergo some alterations, such as a makeover (and a unique time-travel event) for Black Ops Cold War.

So far, Activision has revealed only a sketch of the region, but it’s been enough to ignite a fervor within the gaming community. Verdansk holds a steel-like grip on the nostalgic hearts of millions of gamers worldwide, serving as a backdrop during the COVID-19 lockdowns of 2020 and beyond. In Verdansk, we forged friendships, rivalries, and for some, established our own reputation.

As an aside, my affection for Verdansk and Warzone grew so deeply that I broke a Guinness World Record by playing the longest battle royale marathon non-stop. I navigated through the map and entered the annals of history with this achievement. To this day, my name remains associated with that record, as I was the first person ever to achieve it.
