Verdansk, the well-known map in Call of Duty Warzone, is set to return on April 3, over three years after it was initially taken out of the popular battle royale game. This comeback is seen as a desperate attempt by Activision to keep players engaged, and it’s one of the most significant updates since its removal in December 2021.
Today, images of the updated Verdansk Tac Map surfaced online, showcasing the complete array of Points of Interest and providing a few sneak peeks about the revamped version – such as land with water features.
Same But Different
In the latest sneak peek shared by Call of Duty on their socials, it feels like I’m stepping back into the familiar streets of Verdansk – almost as if no time has passed at all! The iconic Points of Interest, which I remember from five years ago when this game first dropped, remain unaltered.
- Dam
- Military Base
- Quarry
- Airport
- TV Station
- Storage Town
- Superstore
- Stadium
- Lumber
- Boneyard
- Train Station
- Hospital
- Downtown
- Farmland
- Port
- Prison
- Park
- Promenade
- Hills
The initial location you choose is completely your decision, however, it’s important to note that the popular spots probably remain unaltered for the past five years.
Observant fans have noticed some significant changes on the revamped Verdansk Tactical Map. The most noticeable is the addition of rivers flowing across the entire map – a feature that wasn’t part of the original release in March 2020. Additionally, it appears that the railway line has been updated, hinting at the potential return of the train.
It’s worth mentioning that traditional weapons may reappear in Verdansk once more. Given our past experiences with various gameplay metas, there’s an abundance of weapon options available for Activision’s developers to consider.
Apart from that, Verdansk still appears as impressive as it has been. Might there be a rekindling similar to the early days of Fortnite that attracts countless gamers to Warzone in an instant? It’s possible. We’ll find out for certain by April 3.
