Visions of Mana Director Ryosuke Yoshida Joins Square Enix

As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming under my belt, I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation at the news that Ryosuke Yoshida, the director of Visions of Mana, has joined Square Enix. Having been a fan of his work since Devil May Cry 5, it’s heartening to see him take on new challenges within one of the biggest names in gaming.

Visions of Mana Director Ryosuke Yoshida has announced that he joined Sqaure Enix this December.

The announcement originated from Yoshida’s (formerly Twitter) account, where he shared, “On a personal level, I parted ways with NetEase Ouka Studios on October 31st. As a new studio, we managed to launch Visions of Mana. I express my gratitude to the development team and NetEase for their unwavering support throughout this journey. It was an exceptional experience that I will always cherish. Thank you all. Excitingly, I am thrilled to share that I am now part of SQUARE ENIX as of December.

2024 saw the launch of Visions of Mana by Square Enix on August 29th. This game garnered mostly positive feedback as per Metacritic’s review aggregation. The initial sales in Japan, specifically for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, were around 40,000 copies. However, Square Enix has not disclosed the global sales figures yet.

Before joining Square Enix, Ryosuke Yoshida worked on Devil May Cry 5 at Capcom as a game designer.
