Wargaming unveiled its newest game, World of Tanks: HEAT, at Gamescom 2025. This studio is renowned in the world of vehicle-based MMOs and continues to reinforce that reputation. The release of World of Tanks: HEAT promises to offer a fresh take on the tank battles that Wargaming is recognized for.
Although World of Tanks, released by Wargaming in 2011, remains their most recognized title, they’ve introduced other games since then. In 2015, they debuted a game emphasizing battleships called World of Warships. Fast forward to 2024, at the Game Awards, they unveiled Steel Hunters, which was launched in April 2025. However, Steel Hunters will be discontinued this October. Fortunately, Wargaming enthusiasts now have another game to anticipate.

Apart from unveiling the largest update ever in the history of “World of Tanks”, Wargaming also revealed a trailer for an entirely new vehicle combat game titled HEAT at this year’s Gamescom. At first glance, HEAT resembles the original “World of Tanks”, but it offers customizable vehicles and characters with special abilities, integrating elements of a hero shooter into the gameplay. Instead of the usual 15v15 battles in “World of Tanks”, HEAT will feature 10 against 10. As of now, there’s no announced release date, but enthusiasts can add it to their Steam, PS5, or Xbox Series X and S wishlists.
