As an ardent fan, I’m thrilled to share that my favorite game publisher, Focus Entertainment, has unveiled a detailed roadmap for the first half of 2025 for “Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.” This co-op shooter is brimming with exciting content, captivating cosmetics, and significant quality-of-life enhancements. The months ahead promise a wealth of engaging updates that I can’t wait to dive into!
Despite not winning at The Game Awards against Helldivers 2, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 by Saber St. Petersburg has become one of the most sought-after multiplayer games in 2024, garnering a massive following with over 6 million players responding to the Emperor of Mankind’s call to defend the Imperium. The developers have been committed to continuously updating the live-service multiplayer with fresh content. In December alone, they released the substantial Patch 5.0 update that introduced the Obelisk Operation and significantly improved melee weapons, making them more engaging in combat.
On Focus Entertainment’s Focus Together platform, the publisher has unveiled a 2025 roadmap detailing exciting updates for Space Marine 2 players over the next year. In February, Patch 6 is set to arrive, packed with numerous new additions to the game. The Datavault update will introduce a fresh area onto the Battle Barge, allowing players to explore and uncover in-game details through the Research Station. Players can also look forward to earning cosmetic rewards using a novel currency, which they’ll receive by completing Ordeals – brand new challenges that span across Campaign, PvE, and PvP modes.
Everything Included in Space Marine 2’s New 2025 Roadmap:

In the underworld lies a fresh battleground for Player versus Player combat, dubbed “Tomb”. This eerie Necron burial site is characterized by tight, labyrinthine tunnels that foster intense, up-close skirmishes. Meanwhile, on the outside world, the Biovore from the Tyranids presents a formidable adversary for Player versus Environment (PvE) participants. The new “Absolute” difficulty level will test even the most seasoned Space Marines to their limits. Season Pass holders can look forward to the Raven Guard Cosmetic Pack, which includes the MK VI “Corvus” helm and accessories. Additionally, the Salamanders Champion makes its entrance, offering new outfits for the Sniper class Champion and Bolt Sniper Rifle, expanding customization options in “Space Marine 2”. Patch 6 introduces various user-friendly enhancements, such as field-of-view adjustment sliders.
Players can anticipate some exciting additions coming up in the remaining months of the year. The game’s developer has pledged bi-monthly updates and hinted at Patch 7 introducing a new weapon, PvE prestige ranks, custom PvP lobbies, and a fresh PvE mission. In addition, the much-anticipated Horde Mode for Space Marine 2 is projected to release in Spring, along with new weapons and maps. The game will soon incorporate several long-requested features, such as toggling crossplay in PvP and sharing skins between PvE and PvP character models. Furthermore, Sabre has validated the speculations that Space Marine 2 will include emotes, allowing players to interact with their Battle-Brothers more intimately than ever before.
