Warzone has a new fastest-killing SMG but there’s a catch

As a dedicated Warzone player with hundreds of hours under my belt, I can’t help but be thrilled about the latest addition to the game’s meta: the Static-HV SMG. This weapon has quickly become a fan favorite due to its blazing fast TTK and generous base magazine size.

In the latest update of Warzone, the Static-HV boasts an exceptionally quick time to kill (TTK), making it one of the top contending Submachine Guns (SMG) within Season 5’s meta. However, be warned, there’s a hidden condition attached.

As a huge fan of the battle royale game, I’ve noticed that the Static-HV weapon has gained significant popularity among players recently. With its impressive base magazine capacity and swift time-to-kill at close quarters, it’s now giving a run for the money to weapons like the FJX Horus and Superi 46. These weapons have long been fan favorites, but even after Season 5 nerfs, they still hold their own against the Static-HV’s formidable presence in the game.

With the optimal Static-HV weapon setup for Warzone, I was able to swiftly take down enemies in hand-to-hand combat situations. As per Warzone_Loadout on X, this is the fastest-killing SMG in Warzone, but it comes with a disadvantage.

To maximize the potential of a quick-firing weapon, focus on landing headshots as they significantly contribute to its effectiveness.

Warzone has a new fastest-killing SMG but there’s a catchActivisionThe Static-HV is already a top contender.

According to TrueGameData, the Static-HV weapon takes an average of 5.84 seconds (TTK) to eliminate an opponent with a mix of shots. In contrast, it takes the Superi 46’s weapon 6.3 seconds when headshots are excluded from the calculation. Interestingly, the rankings switch positions in this scenario.

While this weapon performs exceptionally well in Warzone for time-to-kill (TTK) among Submachine Guns (SMGs), attaining top tier status requires landing some headshots.

For skilled players who can regularly land these precise shots, it’s deadly dangerous. On the other hand, for those seeking an easier option without the need for high accuracy, consider using the Superi instead.

Despite the enduring popularity of the Superi 46, the currently ruling SMG is likely to undergo adjustments soon to reduce its dominance. If this occurs, it won’t be shocking if the Static-HV takes over as the top close-range weapon in the game.

As a long-time fan of Warzone, I can tell you that the gaming community is always buzzing with excitement when a new season is announced. With Season 5 Reloaded just around the corner, it’s natural to start thinking about which weapons or loadouts will be meta in the upcoming patch. Based on my experience playing this game for years, I strongly believe that investing time and resources into leveling up the Static-HV now is a wise decision.
