Warzone’s Gas Mask gets another much-needed change in Season 5

As a long-time Warzone gamer with hundreds of hours under my belt, I can’t help but feel a sense of relief and satisfaction as I witness the much-needed improvement to the Gas Mask feature in Season 5. For years, this equipment has been a double-edged sword for me – essential for survival in the toxic environment of Verdansk, yet a source of frustration due to its intrusive overlay.

In Warzone for quite some time, the Gas Mask has sparked debate due to various technical issues and its sometimes irritating motion. However, starting with Season 5, an update aims to reduce its disturbance level.

With the arrival of the Urzikstan update and MW3 Season 1, the Gas Mask underwent a modification, displaying a hazy veil whenever activated. This feature kept players informed about the mask’s usage but brought up some visibility concerns, particularly when not in toxic gas environments.

As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled to share that Season 5 has finally addressed my long-standing complaint about the Gas Mask overlay. Now, this feature is dynamically triggered and only appears when I have the mask equipped in gas-filled areas. This exciting update means that I can confidently put on a mask whenever I find one without worrying about the overlay disrupting my focus during intense gunfights.

If a storm catches you unawares, a protective layer will emerge to give you reassurance. After activation, it will gradually fade and crack just like a regular cloud would erode it.

After safely leaving the area with the gas, the impact will naturally fade away on its own, eliminating the requirement for you to remove it manually before resuming your activities.

Warzone’s Gas Mask gets another much-needed change in Season 5ActivisionThe Gas Mask is an important tool but has caused plenty of frustration for players.

Players have eagerly anticipated this adjustment since Urzikstan’s debut, which might appear as a small modification. The gas mask HUD was felt to be an unwarranted distraction for some, becoming particularly bothersome during the storm when it cracked, necessitating manual removal and storage in their backpack.

Fortunate is the situation now, as this advancement allows you to keep it on hand continuously, unless you wish to save on storage, secure in the confidence that it shields you from harmful gas without causing any inconvenience.

In Season 5, you have the freedom to dedicate all your efforts towards enhancing the STG Assault Rifle, Static-HV SMG, and the latest additions to our weapon roster.
