Weapon Tier List In ARC Raiders

As a big fan of ARC Raiders, I’m loving all the awesome weapons we get to use when we head topside! But let’s be real, in any shooter, some guns are just better than others. So, I put together a list of what I think are the very best weapons in ARC Raiders – covering both the best choices for taking on the environment in PVE, and for battling other players in PVP.

ARC Raiders Weapon Tier List Update

Renegade

  • PVP: Renegade hits really hard for a weapon that uses medium ammo. It has a decent magazine size and range, which is enough to take down multiple enemy players at once. Renegade definitely deserves the S-tier rank in ARC Raiders.
  • PVE: Renegade is accurate and can keep a high DPS for a long duration. It also uses medium ammo, which is good enough to penetrate ARC’s armor.

Ferro

  • PVP: There’s no other weapon that can hit as hard as Ferro from a long distance, for its price. However, the constant reloading after firing one shot makes it a tedious weapon in close-range combat. Ferro shines when fully upgraded and paired with another weapon, but can’t handle the heat of PVP combat alone.
  • PVE: High damage, high penetration, and long range. Ferro has all the circumstances to succeed in PVE combat. Additionally, fighting ARC tends to be slower, which gives enough time to keep reloading Ferro.

Stitcher

  • PVP: Although Stitcher is a cheap option to take to the topside, it’s still one of the best PVP weapons in ARC Raiders. If you get close to enemy players, or they dare to get near a fully upgraded Stitcher’s range, it will shred their HP in no time. The only reason why Stitcher isn’t an S-Tier is because of Bobcat and a couple of other broken weapons.
  • PVE: Unfortunately for Stitcher, it uses light ammo, which barely has any armor penetration. It’s good enough to deal with small ARCs, like a Wasp or a Tick, but it starts suffering when it gets harder.

Bobcat

  • PVP: Exactly like Stitcher, but better. Bobcat has a much faster fire rate and can take down enemy players even faster. It’s one of the best short-range weapons in ARC Raiders.
  • PVE: Although Bobcat’s shots are hurtful, the SMG’s light ammo can’t penetrate ARC enemies’ armor like other weapons do. For PVE content, always choose another weapon to bring to the topside.

Kettle

  • PVP: Kettle is a semi-automatic weapon that deals mediocre damage. It’s an acceptable medium-range option, but it suffers from several issues, including a long reload time. Fully upgrading Kettle helps solve some of these problems, but you’re still at a disadvantage when running a Kettle into PVP combat. It’s not a bad weapon, but you need to know what you’re doing to keep up against other players.
  • PVE: Although it’s an assault rifle, Kettle uses light ammo, which also makes it weak against ARC enemies.

Rattler

  • PVP: One of the biggest issues that Rattler suffers from is the crippling reload time alongside the tiny magazine size. You barely shoot a couple of bullets, and it’s time to spend twice as long reloading again. You can’t use Rattler without upgrades, but even when you do that, you’re going to run against broken weapons, and you can’t go against more than one enemy at a time.
  • PVE: Rattler performs slightly better than Kettle in PVE areas because of its moderate armor penetration, but still can’t offer much because of its magazine and reload issues.

Arpeggio

  • PVP: Arpeggio is a much better option than Rattler and Kettle when it comes to picking an assault rifle. However, the 3-round burst firing mode puts it at a disadvantage, especially because of its slow fire rate.
  • PVE: Arpeggio’s big magazine size helps against ARC enemies, but the slow burst still makes it unideal for all situations.

Tempest

  • PVP: Tempest is one of the best weapons in ARC Raiders. It’s a deadly weapon for mid and close-range combat due to its high damage and large magazine size. Upgrading Tempest reduces its reload time and recoil, making it even more lethal in PVP encounters.
  • PVE: While it’s not the best weapon against ARC enemies, it still has good results against them. The medium ammo, alongside the high fire rate, is enough to melt most ARCs.

Bettina

  • PVP: Although it’s an A-Tier weapon, Bettina is still a very deadly weapon in PVP. It falls short of the S-tier mainly due to its slightly slower fire rate compared to other top-tier assault rifles like Tempest.
  • PVE: Bettina is a dream weapon to take down ARCs thanks to its high damage and heavy ammo usage, and it keeps getting better as you upgrade it.

Hairpin

  • PVP: The beauty of ARC Raiders is in its gunplay, as every weapon works and can be deadly in the right hands, even a C-tier weapon like Hairpin. But the truth is, aside from its built-in silencer, there’s little else to praise.
  • PVE: Hairpin shooting slow light bullets at ARCs isn’t really a PVE experience. It’s good to sneak in and out of places without being noticed, but nothing more than that.

Burletta

  • PVP: Although Burletta is a pistol, it still hits like an assault rifle. The fire rate is as fast as your pressing can go, which can be hurtful to other players. It’s a decent PVP pistol, but it’s only under Venator and Anvil, which completely dominate the pistol fights.
  • PVE: While Burletta uses light ammo, it still has a strong shot and decent DPS. That alone makes it a B-tier weapon, instead of joining the C-tier folks.

Anvil

  • PVP: Anvil is a dangerous weapon at any range in ARC Raiders. Players who master Anvil run the topside with a hand cannon that can wipe out any approaching or escaping enemy player. The only downside to using Anvil is the investment in its upgrade, because it’s not really that good at level 1.
  • PVE: Having a pistol with heavy ammo is always good against the ARC machines. Anvil shines in PVE as much as it does in PVP.

Venator

  • PVP: Venator is simply one of the best guns in ARC Raiders. It has one of the highest DPS, with a fast fire rate and really high damage. Venator has everything to take down an entire squad.
  • PVE: While Venator is deadly in PVP, it’s slightly less useful against ARCs. It can still handle drones and most of the land ARCs, all thanks to its medium ammo that adds moderate penetration to Venator’s shots.

Il Toro

  • PVP: Shotguns in ARC Raiders can be tricky to use. At long range, they’re nearly worthless, but up close, weapons like Il Toro can wipe out enemies almost instantly, especially if fully upgraded.
  • PVE: The problem is similar to PVP; you need the ARC machines to get close before the shotgun becomes effective. Add in the low armor penetration, and Il Toro can be situational at best.

Vulcano

  • PVP: Vulcano has less damage than Il Toro, but with a much faster fire rate, making it even deadlier at close range. Unfortunately, as a shotgun, Vulcano suffers from the same issues that Il Toro suffers from.
  • PVE: Even against ARCs, Vulcano performs better than Il Toro because of its high fire rate. When an ARC comes close, you can empty an entire magazine on it in no time.

Torrente

  • PVP: If there’s a weapon that can wipe out an entire squad and loot all their items in ARC Raiders, it’s Torrente. You still need to come really close since the LMG has no accuracy at all, but other than that, it’s a very solid PVP weapon in ARC Raiders. Keep in mind, Torrente can easily become comparable to S-Tier weapons if you fully upgrade it and reduce its recoil from attachments.
  • PVE: With or without attachments, Torrente shreds ARCs to pieces, and it’s beautiful.

Osprey

  • PVP: Osprey is a true sniper rifle in ARC Raiders. Having a scope gives players a strong advantage, especially in maps like Buried City, where rooftops are all over the place.
  • PVE: While it has a long range and amazing accuracy, it’s still a very slow sniper rifle that doesn’t have the penetration of weapons like Ferro.

Jupiter

  • PVP: While it doesn’t have a scope, it still can reach faraway areas and hurt players badly. Its only downside is the build-up energy before shooting, which players can catch up to and avoid.
  • PVE: Jupiter is more of a PVE monster, where you can snipe ARC machines across the map. It’s so good, you can beat a Rocketeer before it even reaches your location.

Equalizer

  • PVP: Other than its slight delay before shooting, Equalizer is deadly against other players. Unlike Torrente, Equalizer is good at any range, in any situation, against anyone. It’s a perfect PVP weapon in ARC Raiders.
  • PVE: Equalizer is an LMG that uses energy, which has a very strong ARC armor penetration. It’s literally one of the best guns to bring to a PVE fight against the likes of Bombardier, Bastion, or even a Queen.

Hullcracker

  • PVP: It’s understandable why Hullcracker is so bad in PVP, since the devs don’t want people exploiting its explosive radius.
  • PVE: Hullcracker is one of the best weapons in PVE. The rate of explosives flying at ARCs makes it a perfect weapon to get whenever you want to beat a specific ARC in ARC Raiders.
