As a seasoned zombie slayer who’s been through countless rounds since the early days of Black Ops 3, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia upon seeing the return of Gobblegums in Black Ops 6 Zombies. These little candies may seem harmless, but they have the power to turn the tide of any zombie encounter!

In Black Ops 6, the popular zombie mode called Round-based Zombies makes its comeback, accompanied by the debatable mechanic known as Gobblegums. This system allows players to activate power-up candies that grant unique abilities.

Back in Black Ops 3, this feature was initially introduced, but due to its scarcity since then, some players might not be acquainted with how it works.

GobbleGums explained

In the game, Zombies, GobbleGums function as special candies granting exclusive skills when consumed. Before starting a game, you can select and prepare up to five of these in your gear setup.

After using Mr. Peeks’ GobbleGum dispenser, it will randomly give you one of the five choices you selected. The machine will need some time to recharge before you can use it again for more gums. You are allowed to carry up to three distinct gums with you at a time, and just like choosing Scorestreaks in multiplayer, you can pick which gum you want to activate.

In Black Ops 6 Zombies, the Gobblegums have been streamlined into three categories: Instant, Timed, and Conditional. You can hold up to three of them at a time, but once you use one, it’s gone for good. And, excitingly, you can obtain any rarity level just by playing the game!

Each item here is disposable, meaning after you consume a GobbleGum, it’ll no longer be in your collection. However, you can acquire new ones whenever needed. Time their usage wisely, as you have the option to activate all three simultaneously if desired.
