What Happens If You Choose “Nah, I’m going home” in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar?

Upon reaching Zephyr Town, players in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar will swiftly encounter the town’s Mayor. He warmly greets you, introducing the bustling Grand Bazaar – a marketplace once frequented by tourists worldwide. The Mayor regrets that its past grandeur has faded, and he enlists your aid to restore both the Grand Bazaar and Zephyr Town to their former splendor.

When he inquires, “What are your thoughts? Should we go ahead and set things up for you?”, you have two options. You can continue with the usual game intro by replying “I’m game, let’s do it,” or you can opt out by saying “No thanks, I’m heading home.” If you choose the latter, you’ll be treated to a unique cutscene that significantly alters the storyline for the game Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar.

If you opt for “Nah, I’m heading home”, the Mayor might pat the back of his head and say with surprise, “You’re really going home?

Perplexed, the Mayor eventually acknowledges that the person you represent is, in fact, not the farmer he had been anticipating.

1. He expresses regret for not asking your permission first, before delivering his speech on Zephyr Town, afterward, he wishes you a pleasant stay as a traveler.

2. Instead of apologizing, he acknowledges he should have sought your approval prior to his talk about Zephyr Town, then extends well-wishes for your tourism experience.

3. He admits that he forgot to ask permission before speaking on the topic of Zephyr Town, subsequently offers good wishes during your vacation.

4. After giving a speech about Zephyr Town without asking your consent, he apologizes and hopes you have a fantastic time as a tourist.

5. In the event he neglected to seek your authorization before discussing Zephyr Town, he is sorry and desires your travel experience to be enjoyable.

As your character strides out of the town, the scene comically focuses in on the statue of the Mayor in the heart of the Marketplace, just as the words “[Farmer] departed from Zephyr Town” unfold.

Affirming your action will trigger the next scene. Today, the Mayor has been patiently waiting in one spot, and as the sun begins to set, he ponders where the new farmer might be. A sense of urgency washes over him as he tries to think of possible explanations for the farmer’s absence. Eventually, he exclaims aloud, “I must have faith!!!” towards the heavens.

Suddenly, the game will switch to a black screen, and you’ll find yourself returned to the main menu. Since you chose to depart from Zephyr Town, your saved progress will be erased – begin a new save game and design your character anew!
