In the game episode “Team Building” within Dispatch, players are faced with a significant decision that impacts the story. At the end of the episode, Robert must decide whether to reveal his true identity or keep it hidden. This guide details the consequences of each choice and helps players determine the best option for the fifth episode.

The guide below contains minor spoilers for the ending of the fifth episode of Dispatch.

Should You Tell Z Team Your Identity in Dispatch Episode 5? (Robert/Mecha Man Choice)

Once Robert finishes the second set of tasks and meets the team at the Sardine bar, he’ll be suddenly interrupted by a man named Armstrong, who is wearing a robotic suit. This will kick off a fight, with all members of the Z-Team battling the other people in the bar. After completing a few challenges, the team will end up outside a Mexican restaurant, enjoying a meal.

Okay, so everyone’s digging their food and we’re getting awesome views of the fight, but then Punch Up suddenly throws a curveball and starts asking Robert about who he is. And that’s when things get interesting, because I get to make a choice – it’s up to me how I respond!

  • I’m Robert.
  • I’m Mecha Man.

You’ll face one key decision in this part of the game, and you’ll have a short time to answer. You can pause to think it over. Importantly, the game saves right before this choice, so you can quit and copy your save to slot two to experiment with both options. Doing so also ensures you unlock both Silver achievements or trophies for selecting each dialogue choice.

If you introduce yourself as Robert, he’ll pretend that’s his name, downplaying everyone’s past identities and insisting he’s simply Robert now. Flambae won’t be happy with this response, but will eventually reveal his own real name. After that, everyone else will follow suit and share their true names, bringing the episode to a close.

If you announce to everyone that you’re Mecha Man, they’ll be very surprised. Flambae will become furious and attack with fire, but the Golem will defend against it. Then, either Waterboy or Malevola will douse the Golem with water, depending on who you chose as a teammate back in Episode 4. This will only make Flambae angrier, causing him to fly off in a rage. The next part of the episode repeats, everyone reveals their true names, and the episode ends.

It can be tough to choose, but the decision is ultimately yours. If you reveal who you are, your teammates will likely trust you more, though Flambae might be upset. Keeping your identity secret will strengthen your bond with Flambae. Whatever you decide, there will be consequences that play out in future episodes of Dispatch.
