As a long-time Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) gamer with countless hours under my belt, I can’t help but get excited about the latest addition to the game – the WWE-themed Slam Deathmatch mode. This isn’t just another Team Deathmatch variant; it’s a whole new ball game!
As a dedicated gamer of Modern Warfare 3, I’m thrilled to share that starting from Season 5, we’ll be experiencing something fresh and exciting. Instead of the regular old kills, we’ll get to engage in the new WWE-themed mode called Slam Deathmatch. In this mode, instead of relying on conventional weapons for eliminating opponents, we’ll be using Finishing Moves – just like our favorite wrestling superstars! So, let’s gear up and prepare for some epic battles filled with raw power and show-stopping moves!
As an avid gamer, I’m excited to share with you a fresh twist on the conventional Team Deathmatch experience. Here’s what you should know: Instead of the standard rules, this new mode brings something unique to the table. And the best part? It’ll soon be available for us to play!
MW3 Slam Deathmatch mode explained
When playing Slam Deathmatch Limited Time mode in Modern Warfare 3, instead of weapons instantly eliminating opponents, I must deliver a finishing move to confirm the kill and earn points for my team.
In Slam Deathmatch, the finishing moves for all victors are selected at random and modeled after WWE’s diverse repertoire, including an elbow drop and numerous other techniques, as shown in the Season 5 preview.
In Modern Warfare 3’s latest MP mode, named Slam Deathmatch, instead of killing your opponents outright, you can merely weaken them by shooting them with your weapon. To secure the points, you then need to perform a WWE-style finishing move on them.

If we haven’t determined the winning score yet, it may be similar to Team Deathmatch where teams must accumulate a total of 100 points or have the most kills within the given 10-minute match duration. The game will adhere to the usual Team Deathmatch setup with each team consisting of six players.
In the heat of the game, pulling off a Finishing Move may prove challenging since opponents can interrupt. Plus, fallen teammates have the chance to be revived, meaning it’s crucial to work together and shield them during attempts to claim a victory.
When will Slam Deathmatch be available in MW3?
As a dedicated MW3 gamer, I’m thrilled to share that starting from July 31 and lasting till August 7, 2024, I’ll get the unique opportunity to experience Slam Deathmatch during the WWE SummerSlam event. Can’t wait to jump into the arena!
During this time, Slam Deathmatch will be available as its own playlist in MW3 multiplayer.
As a gamer in Season 5 of WWE, I can tell you that there’s more than just one exciting event coming our way. In addition to the main event, we have the Conquest Event from August 7 to August 14 and the Echo Endo Live! Field Rep from August 14 to August 21. So buckle up, gamers, as we’re in for a rollercoaster ride of action-packed WWE entertainment!
