Upon acquiring the Drifter’s Cloak and climbing through the ceiling of the Far Fields, Hornet will appear in Greymoor. Three markers guide Hornet towards nearby points of interest, but once players reach Greymoor within “Silksong”, they might find it challenging to determine the best course of action initially.
Explore the bustling region of Greymoor in Silksong, brimming with various characters, treasures, challenges, and loot. This area is interconnected with significant late-game locations where Hornet can gain potent new abilities. Use this guide to navigate your journey beyond Greymoor’s boundaries and focus on key priorities as you delve deeper into the region and its associated zones.
Buy the Map for Greymoor
After soaring over the Far Fields and entering Greymoor, proceed to go right to discover a new region. Descend the steps to locate a bench and Shakra, who will alert Hornet about the airborne adversaries in Greymoor and the lake. She will also provide a map of Greymoor for 70 Rosaries as an offer.
Upon acquiring the map, head back towards the Greymoor entrance from the Far Fields. Continue moving to your left until you come across Halfway Home, a mini-hub featuring a bench and Nuu.
Get the Hunter’s Journal From Nuu

To locate the Halfway Home, head towards the entrance of Greymoor, and you’ll find it situated to your left. Keep going until you encounter a building with a locked front door. Then, move around to the opposite side of this building, and you will discover the entrance to the Halfway Home.
Unlock the door on the right of the building by hitting a lever within the Halfway Home.
As a gamer, I approached Creige, the local innkeeper, to gather some information. Then, with a leap and a quick climb, I scurried up to the rafters, where I stumbled upon an unusual creature – a tiny snail named Nuu. Scribbled notes on a gigantic scroll were its only companions. I engaged in conversation with Nuu, who expressed a desire for my assistance. Intrigued and eager to help, I agreed to grant his wish for the Hunter’s Journal. Similar to Hollow Knight, the Hunter’s Journal would serve as a guidebook of sorts, keeping track of notes on enemies I defeat throughout Pharloom, acting like a bestiary for Silksong.
Defeat Moorwing

As a gamer, I navigate my character from Halfway Home, veering left, and trekking through ancient ruins on the farthest side of Greymoor. After overcoming obstacles and exploring, I eventually stumble upon a sizable lake with an air vent overhead. Daringly, I leap down into it, and continue my journey, sticking to the left path to finally confront the mighty Moorwing boss.
In simpler terms, to progress further in Silksong, you must face a certain boss. However, if you manage to locate all the Fleas and hand them over to the Fleamaster, he will relocate the Caravan to where the boss is, effectively skipping the fight.
The Moorwing is quite a challenging foe to overcome. It’s not only due to the fact that each of its attacks inflicts double Masks of damage, but also because its movements are tricky to anticipate and respond to effectively with precise timing.
Reach Bellhart & Enter Shellwood
As a victorious gamer, I’ve just defeated Moorwing or cleverly skipped the fight using the Fleamaster. In the captivating world of Silksong, this triumph grants me access to two unexplored zones: Bellhart and Shellwood. Upon entering Bellhart, I stumble upon a town shrouded in the Haunting’s chilling influence, where the inhabitants are ensnared by silken threads as Hornet uncovers their plight.
To restore Haunted Bellhart back to its original state, you’ll need to navigate through the Shellwood region. This area is brimming with several bosses, collectibles, and an ancient artifact to discover.
Beat The Sister Splinter Boss

At the summit of Shellwood, following a labyrinth of platforms and challenging leap sequences, gamers will face off against the Sister Splinter boss. Perched high in the ceiling, this formidable foe slams down with its sharp claws, spawns spiky thorn barriers to constrict parts of the combat zone, and summons airborne allies to aid it.
In simpler terms, battling Boss Sister Splinter can be challenging, but conquering her will grant you an impressive new skill for the Weaver. To save time on your return trip to this boss, find and use the elevator shortcut that takes you directly to the central Resting Spot in Shellwood.
Get Cling Grip To Jump Up Walls

After defeating the Sister Splinter boss, head to the left and navigate around the platform structures on that side of the central pillar in the following room. Be mindful of the camouflaged insects resembling flowers, as they’ll reveal themselves if Hornet gets too near; try to avoid getting hit by them.
On the left-hand side of this room, jump diagonally over two white flowers using a downward slash motion, which will take you into an adjacent room on your left.

Alright, fellow gamer! Dive into the game world, veer off to the room’s left corner, and at the end, make a swift about-face. Now, curve up and to your right – that should lead you to the mystical Weaver Statue. Once there, whip out your Bind skill and perform a magical ritual in front of it. Voila! You’ve just unlocked the mighty Cling Grip ability!
In Silksong, mastering the Cling Grip is a handy movement skill, similar to the Mantis Claw in Hollow Knight. This ability enables Hornet to grasp onto vertical surfaces and launch herself off them. Make good use of the Cling Grip to delve deeper into Shellwood and encounter the Widow boss positioned on the zone’s far right.

Beat Widow To Free Bellhart

In your game, Widow is a superior officer located right above Bellhart. However, you can enter her boss chamber only after overcoming Splinter Sister, acquiring Cling Grip ability, and utilizing it to climb to the top-right corner of Shellwood. Widow has menacing claws and is capable of weaving threads that either attack Hornet or create harmful ground areas by summoning bells.
Upon overcoming Widow, Hornet jumps onto her, impales her with a nail, and employs her silk to disintegrate her. After a fleeting, dream-like interlude, Hornet emerges with the Needolin ability unlocked. To return to Bellhart and check on the grateful townsfolk, leave the boss arena to your right.
Get Your First Needle Upgrade

Once you’ve rescued Bellhart, spend some moments wandering around the town and chatting with all the Non-Player Characters. On the left side of the town, there’s a vendor, a Wishwall offering three quests that Hornet might want to accept, and, importantly, there are two buildings located above which you can climb up to.
In this setting, the initial structure is home to a character known as Relic Keeper Scrounge. This individual serves as a trader, offering rosaries in exchange for any artifacts you might have accumulated. Within their residence, they showcase these exchanged items.
The building just a bit farther ahead is where Pinmaster Plinney resides. Speak with Pinmaster, and as gratitude for rescuing Bellhart from the Widow, he’ll offer to enhance Hornet’s Needle at no cost. Enhancing the Needle in Silksong boosts its damage, and you can acquire a quest from Plinney to gather a material that will enable him to further upgrade the Needle.
Equipped with Cling Grip, Needolin, and an upgraded Needle, Pharloom now provides a wealth of opportunities for exploration. Proceed further into the Blasted Steps to complete Act 1, using the exit located to the left of the Shellwood Bell Beast transit point. To advance into Act 2, defeat the Last Judge outside the Citadel.
You might want to revisit earlier zones to explore new possibilities given your newly acquired abilities such as Needolin and Cling Grip. It turns out, there are other regions that have opened up within these old areas which were previously inaccessible. Enjoy the discovery!
