Throughout Lumiose City in *Pokemon Legends: Z-A*, you can find many different collectibles, and Colorful Screws are particularly useful. You can trade these screws for special items that give your Pokemon helpful boosts, but you’ll need to find the correct vendor to exchange them.
It’s easy to overlook Colorful Screws when you’re first starting *Pokemon Legends: Z-A*, and the game doesn’t clearly explain what they’re for or where to use them. Here’s a guide to help you with these Colorful Screws in *Pokemon Legends: Z-A*.
Where to Exchange Colorful Screws in Pokemon Legends: Z-A
You can trade Colorful Screws at Racine Construction for Canari Plushes. These special plush toys provide helpful bonuses to both you and your Pokémon, like increased experience points and a higher chance of catching Pokémon.
You can find Racine Construction on the southeastern side of Lumiose City. To get there quickly, fast travel to the Pokemon Center close to Wild Zone 1. From there, head east on the road and you’ll soon see it.
You’ll find the Colorful Screws employee right at the building entrance. You can also register Racine Construction as a fast travel location to quickly return there later.
In *Pokemon Legends: Z-A*, you can collect five different Canari Plushes, each offering a unique benefit. You can also make these benefits stronger by using Colorful Screws to upgrade them. The first upgrade costs just three Colorful Screws, but each additional upgrade becomes more expensive.
| Canari Plush | Effect |
|---|---|
| Red Canari Plush | Increases Exp. Point gains. |
| Gold Canari Plush | Increases prize money from battles. |
| Pink Canari Plush | Increases Mega Shard gains. |
| Green Canari Plush | Makes you less likely to black out from taking damage. |
| Blue Canari Plush | Increases Pokemon catch chances. |
You can usually find colorful screws at building sites all over Lumiose City, particularly on things like scaffolding where people can climb. They’re easy to spot! While you’re exploring, also look out for glowing purple Poke Balls. Keep an eye peeled for rare items like Tiny Mushrooms too, while playing *Pokemon Legends: Z-A*.
