Whispers hint that the Nintendo Switch 2 could debut in March or April, which may provide Team Cherry with enough time to polish Hollow Knight: Silksong for a simultaneous release.

In the first two weeks following its release on the Nintendo Switch in 2018, the initial version of “Hollow Knight” managed to sell over a quarter of a million copies. Given this success, it could be reasonable for Nintendo to collaborate with Team Cherry to ensure that the sequel is available as a launch title. Another possibility is that the game would be released close to the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2, allowing for optimization of its performance on more advanced hardware.
