What to Expect in Fields of Mistria’s July Update

In a recent announcement, Fields of Mistria revealed that their upcoming early access update is scheduled for July. This highly anticipated release will introduce several long-awaited features and gameplay mechanics that fans have eagerly looked forward to since the game’s launch in August of last year. Following the last update in March, players have been delighting in the winter festival, Caldarus’ arrival, and new farming and mining equipment meant to enhance the overall gaming experience with improved quality-of-life features.

NPC Studio recently released an informative visual guide showcasing the key features coming in July’s update. The infographic is broken down into distinct sections covering various aspects such as updates to villager interactions, new monster combat mechanics, increased Town Renown tiers, fresh Request Board quests, Saturday Market sellers, a new festival, a rise in skill level limits, additional home enhancements including greenhouses, and modifications to storage chests.

New Socialization in Fields of Mistria

Introduction of Dating to Fields of Mistria

In the game “Fields of Mistria,” there are potential spouses who can reach a maximum Heart event level of six, but at this time, a full dating and marriage system hasn’t been established. The upcoming July update plans to introduce dating features, allowing Heart events to rise to eight, though marriage itself remains unimplemented. The game’s future plans also include a Best Friend system for the characters you don’t romance, although it’s uncertain if players will be restricted to picking just one Best Friend from the available candidates.

Since there are no plans to add new mine levels, and the progress of Caldarus’ Heart events is linked to mine progression, it remains uncertain how his relationship will continue to develop. It’s possible that Caldarus’ Heart events may no longer be connected to the mines after he completes his six Heart event.

New Town Vendors

In the future, Fields of Mistria will boast eight lively Saturday Market Vendors. At present, there are only four. The July update is expected to introduce two new vendors, and just like the existing ones, players can forge relationships with them. Some enthusiastic players have managed to uncover potential vendors through data mining, such as Stillwell the Fortune Teller, Zorel the Musician, Wheedle who operates a chest game, and possibly Taliferro, a chef from the capital who might also be present at the market. Among these, it’s likely that Wheedle will make an appearance, given his previous presence in Fields of Mistria during Balor’s Heart events.

Improvement to Fields of Mistria’s Current Systems

A Much-Needed Storage Upgrade

Enhancing the size of storage chests and streamlining their user interface within the game Fields of Mistria should be well-received by many players. The game offers numerous collectibles, crops, recipes, crafting resources, and decorative items that all need to be stored in chests. Currently, players often require more than a dozen chests to store their collectibles, which consumes space and can cause confusion. Although players don’t need the items in their inventory for crafting purposes, it can be challenging to locate a specific item for quests. A larger storage capacity would significantly aid in boosting the overall user experience within Fields of Mistria.

A New Festival is Coming to Mistria

In addition to the upcoming storage enhancement, a fresh festival is also on its way to Fields of Mistria. At present, there are three existing festivals in this world: The Spring Festival, the Summer’s Shooting Star Festival, and the Winter Animal Festival. There are several other planned festivals for the complete launch of Fields of Mistria that haven’t been introduced yet, such as:

  • Cooking Contest (Spring)
  • Beach Day (Summer)
  • Crop Festival (Summer)
  • Harvest Festival (Fall)
  • Halloween Festival (Fall)
  • Gift Festival (Winter)
  • New Year’s Eve (Winter)

In the upcoming July update, NPC Studio hasn’t specified which festival they’ll introduce, but it’s reasonable to assume it will be from the list provided. Since no festival has been added for Fall yet, the festival in the July update might be one of the two Fall festivals. Similar to previous festivals, this event should bring new conversations, food options, and decorative items.
