As a long-time Dragon Ball fan who’s been through the transformations of Goku, Frieza, and all the Z-Warriors, I must say that Dragon Ball Sparking Zero has truly outdone itself with its Special Maneuvers! Today marks the early access release of Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, leaving players curious about the innovations in this sequel to the Budokai Tenkaichi series. In today’s guide, we’ll delve into some of the unique Special Maneuvers that Dragon Ball Sparking Zero offers, providing an edge in battle.
During combat, there are five distinct maneuvers available for players to execute. These encompass Transformations, Fusions, Swaps, Sparking! Modes, and Emotes.
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Special Maneuvers
Transformation
In Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, characters hailing from the DBZ series are renowned for their transformations, and players have the chance to reenact these metamorphoses during thrilling battles. To activate a transformation, navigate up on the D-Pad, then choose your preferred transformation using Square/X, Triangle/Y, X/A or ⭘/B. Keep in mind that each transformation consumes one Skill Count, but it also enhances your character’s abilities.
Fusion
In the Dragon Ball universe, fusion is an event where two combatants combine into one strong fighter. To execute fusion in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, ensure that two compatible characters for fusion are part of your team. Activate fusion by navigating up on the D-Pad to open the Transformation menu, and then switch to the Fusion panel using L1/LB or R1/RB. Once fused, a single, indivisible fused character will appear in place of the original two characters.
Switch
The Switch is a great system to ensure a more prolonged survival of your party in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, as it allows players to swap weaker characters with stronger teammates. During the battle, players can access the Switch Panel by pressing ‘Left’ on the D-Pad and choosing their desired character with Square/X, Triangle/Y, X/A or ⭘/B. The Switch mechanic can also be used for features like Chase Change or continuing your assault during Team Battles.
Sparking! Mode
The latest power-up technique is called “Sparking!” Mode in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero. To activate it, you need to fill up your Ki Gauge completely, then spend a Skill Counter. Once activated, your abilities will be boosted and you’ll gain additional perks, like the ability to fire blasts with Ki while in this mode.
Furthermore, techniques like Violent Rush and Hyper Smash, when activated in Sparking! Mode, enable you to execute rapid assaults or break through an opponent’s defense. These moves can also enhance your agility by allowing for Super Movement.
Emote
Instead of boosting a character’s skills, this Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Special Maneuver serves as an engaging element for multiplayer games. Gamers can employ distinct emoticons alongside their preferred characters, allowing them to assume impressive poses and potentially unsettle opponents simultaneously.
