The concept is unique and the gameplay improvements look promising. However, as a collector, I can’t help but feel a tad underwhelmed. The acrylic standee seems like a flimsy substitute for a statue or art book that I would cherish. But hey, who doesn’t love a good eye patch and pirate flag?

As for the collector’s edition itself, I find myself hesitant about it. It comes with some neat items, but they don’t seem particularly emotionally impactful compared to other collections.

frankly, I was hoping for more from the special edition of the game; it would have been nice if it came with a figurine or a book of artwork instead of an acrylic display which, in my opinion, seems like a less substantial alternative that many people may discard soon after unboxing.

When you least expected it, the Like a Dragon series seems to have taken an unexpected twist with the announcement of Pirate Yakuza set in Hawaii. The story revolves around Goro Majima, who was once part of the Yakuza, waking up on a secluded island somewhere in the vast Pacific Ocean, with no recollection of his past, including his own identity. To solve the enigma surrounding his arrival here, he embarks on an exciting journey filled with pirate lore.

It seems that the major enhancement lies in the battle system, making it look more intense and smooth. Notably, during combat, you’re also able to leap while attacking! Additionally, you have the freedom to personalize your vessel and gather a team to wreak havoc across the vast oceans!
