It’s not often we see a game that listens so closely to its players and implements changes swiftly, which is why I find myself drawn to this title.

Title Release – Level Zero: Extraction, a chilling shooter that blends horror with its traditional format, was launched around mid-August. The response has been somewhat average, earning a ‘Mixed’ rating on Steam. However, the developers at Doghowl Games have been tirelessly working to refine the core gameplay and add extra content, based on community feedback. Here’s what’s new in Level Zero: Extraction since its debut!

Everything New in Level Zero: Extraction Since Release

Ever since the game’s debut, players have been clamoring for various features and mechanics in Level Zero: Extraction, such as a solo play mode, smoother movement, and quicker weapon access. Fortunately, the developers at Doghowl have taken their community’s feedback to heart, and we’re now on update 0.5.0 of Level Zero: Extraction. The game is now more enjoyable and runs more smoothly overall.

Solo Mode: Featuring nine mercenaries and a single alien vying for loot and escape on the map.
Movement Improvements: A complete rework of the mercenary animation systems for more fluid movement.
Gunplay Improvements: Greater feedback when shooting, switching weapons, aiming, and more.
Faster Access to Weapons: Instead of starting the game with a nail gun, you now receive the handgun and can upgrade to military-grade weapons quicker.
Progression Overhaul: Following the game’s wipe, acquiring levels and better equipment takes less time, so players can dive straight into the action.
Weekly Events: Doghowl intends to host weekly events, occurring every weekend, with unique mechanics, goals, and rewards.
New Items: Additional weapons, grenades, syringes, and Merc and Alien rewards to earn.
Better Onboarding: New tutorial mechanics to help new players dive into the game and learn the core mechanics.

When Does Level Zero: Extraction Wipe?

In this game, the data at the base level (Level Zero) gets regularly cleared during significant updates since the game is still being developed. The latest update was just implemented, and it’s version 0.5.0.

In simple terms, this means that all the progress made by players, including their achievements and standing with vendors, will be completely reset. Essentially, everybody has to begin anew.
