In Dynasty Warriors: Origins, they understand that while the game involves lots of fast-paced combat, it still demands some level of skill. To cater to players with varying abilities, the game provides four different difficulty settings, enabling them to adjust the challenge according to their expertise and familiarity with the game.
As a gamer diving into the revamped world of Dynasty Warriors: Origins, you might find yourself pondering which difficulty setting suits your gaming style best. The perfect level can be subjective, depending on your gaming prowess and the kind of challenge you’re seeking.
All Dynasty Warriors: Origins Difficulty Settings
In the game Dynasty Warriors: Origins, there are four levels of difficulty, but only three can be selected at the start. When players initially launch the game, they can pick from three options: Historian (easy), Wayfarer (normal), and Hero (hard). The Ultimate Warrior (very hard) setting will unlock once a player has finished one of the main scenarios for any of the three factions.
In the game, there’s an award for winning just one battle when you’re in Ultimate Warrior mode. However, unlike that, there are no awards that depend on the difficulty level when finishing the main storyline.
Which Dynasty Warriors: Origins Difficulty Setting is Best?
For beginners or those new to the action-adventure genre, the Historian mode is ideal as it offers an easier experience focusing on the game’s storyline. The Wayfarer option would be most suitable for the majority of players, even if they have limited experience with Musou / Warriors games. Series veterans may prefer to start with the Hero mode, while those who are already masters of Musou games might consider challenging themselves further by unlocking and playing as the Ultimate Warrior to maintain a high level of difficulty as they progress through any remaining missions, requests, and scenarios.
If players find the gameplay too challenging or straightforward, they can effortlessly adjust the difficulty level during breaks between fights using the configuration menu. This modification won’t influence the storyline at all.
Difficulty Mode Differences in Dynasty Warriors: Origins
In this game, the Historian’s abilities make it so that players can more easily block enemy attacks, stagger enemies, increase bravery, and fill up the Musou Gauge. On the other hand, the Hero makes enemies tougher and more aggressive, reduces the time for parries and perfect evades, and eliminates the chance of enemies dropping Meat Buns. Blocking actions also reduce bravery, players have less control over battles between allied and enemy armies, and the earned Skill Points and gold are slightly lower. The Ultimate Warrior is essentially a more intense version of the Hero, with tighter parry and evade windows and significantly reduced battle rewards.
