Battlefield 6 Season 1 Release Time
Battlefield 6 Season 1 launches on October 28th at 3:00 PM UTC. You’ll be able to start downloading the update from 9:00 AM UTC that same day.
Electronic Arts announced the release schedule in a blog post alongside details about the 1.1.1.0 update.

What is Coming in Battlefield 6 Season 1?
Battlefield 6’s first season is here, bringing a brand new battle royale experience, along with two large maps and plenty of other exciting content.
Battlefield 6 is getting two new maps: Blackwell Fields, available October 28th, and Eastwood, launching November 18th. Both maps are set in the United States. Two new game modes are also being added: Strikepoint and Payload Rush. Payload Rush will debut with the Winter Offensive limited-time mode on December 9th, and includes a new area called Ice Lock Empire State.
In terms of new equipment, players can expect these new weapons in Battlefield 6 Season 1:
- SOR-300SC Carbine
- GGH-22 Pistol
- Mini Scout Sniper Rifle
- DB-12 Shotgun
- M357 Trait Pistol
- Ice Climbing Axe (Melee)
And new attachments, including rail covers and LPVO (rifle optics) devices.
Battlefield 6’s first season will introduce a Battle Pass with four different progression tracks, each designed around one of the game’s classes: Assault, Recon, Engineer, and Support.
There will be both free and premium pathways that will lead to various rewards:
- Weapon blueprints
- Specialist skins
- Parachute camos
- Charms and patches
Additionally, a new vehicle is coming with Season 1 of Battlefield 6:
- APC Traverser Mark 2
Players looking for fresh ways to play will find three new modes: Strikepoint, a fast-paced tactical mode for smaller teams; Sabotage, where the goal is to destroy key locations; and Ice Lock, a limited-time mode based on the Winter Offensive.
Battlefield 6 Season 1 finally introduces the highly anticipated Battle Royale mode, now called RedSec, and it’s available to play for free. Don’t worry, it has no connection to DedSec from the Watch Dogs series!
