Hytale is getting closer to release! The developers at Hypixel Studios are currently working on the game and have announced an early access date, allowing them to thoroughly test it before the full public launch.
As a long-time fan, I was absolutely thrilled to hear Hytale is back! The original creator, Simon Collins-Laflamme, got the rights back, and they’re starting to rebuild the game from a version that’s already four years old. That’s a huge undertaking, honestly – there’s so much work to do to get it where we all know it can be. Because of that, it makes total sense they’re planning an early access period so we can all see the progress and help shape the future of Hytale.
If you’re interested in joining the Hytale community, experiencing the game, and helping shape its future, purchasing and playing the early access version is the best way to do so.
Hytale Early Access Release Date

I’m so excited! Hytale’s early access is launching on January 13, 2026, and you can actually pre-order it now if you want to get in on the action right away.
Wow, things are moving fast with Hytale! It feels like just yesterday we found out Hypixel Studio, with Collins-Laflamme at the helm, had started working on it again. And now, after seeing what the game will need to run and how it performs on PC, they’re already talking about letting us play an early version! It’s really exciting to see how quickly things are coming together.
Early access sounds like a must for Hytale, and you might want to get used to this fact.
Do We Know Hytale’s Full Release Date?

Simon Collins-Laflamme, the creator of the project, has stated that the complete version 1.0 release is likely several years away.
The team plans to spend a decade developing Hytale, and they’re doing it entirely on their own – without any investors or publishers. It’s a labor of love for this close-knit group, who are dedicated to bringing this game back to life after many thought it would never happen.
In a Hytale blog, the game’s full launch was addressed:
“Early access duration: Expected to last at least a few years; no rush to 1.0.”
Look, as someone who’s been following Hytale, it’s clear the developers aren’t messing around with this early access. They’re letting us really dig in and test everything, almost like an Escape From Tarkov-style preview. Honestly, it’s awesome because it gives Hypixel Studios tons of time to polish the game and make sure it’s exactly the amazing sandbox experience they’re aiming for when the full version drops. They’re really taking their time to get it right, and I appreciate that.
