When is Verdansk Coming Back to Warzone? Release Period Explained

Fans of Call of Duty: Warzone are eagerly awaiting the return of their original favorite map – Verdansk. This legendary battle royale setting fostered friendships, laughter, and thrilling victories amidst a challenging global situation. The exciting part about its comeback in Warzone is the timeframe for its release, which has piqued everyone’s curiosity.

For many, the term “Verdansk” evokes a certain excitement, with Call of Duty subtly instilling this emotion in players years ago through Warzone. It’s hard to believe that Activision decided to introduce such an engaging free-to-play battle royale game. The strategic gameplay was often overshadowed by intense gunfights, as players scrambled for cover beneath the Stadium, where the sunlight-blocking structure provided temporary refuge.

In 2020 and beyond, Verdansk served as a refuge for gamers feeling troubled, providing emotional solace amidst global struggles. Now that Warzone isn’t living up to its former glory, it’s high time the fictional city made a comeback in Call of Duty.

Is Verdansk Coming Back to Warzone?

Indeed, for the record, Verdansk will indeed make a comeback. Rest assured, there’s no room for confusion or speculation on this matter. The popular Warzone game is, in fact, reintroducing Verdansk to console versions of Call of Duty, and I’m referring to the original Warzone, not its mobile counterpart.

As a gamer, I’ve been eagerly awaiting the return of Verdansk, the iconic map that was previously taken offline. But

Do we Know Warzone’s Verdansk Release Date?

2025 sees the return of Verdansk to Warzone, a fact we’re certain about following the confirmation at last year’s Call of Duty NEXT event.

The official account of CoD on X platform confirmed the exciting news that Verdansk, originally from Call of Duty Warzone, is set to make a comeback in the year 2025, ready to ignite your adrenaline once more.

To clarify upfront, I don’t see any signs or specific timelines regarding leaks for 2025 yet. It could happen halfway through Black Ops 6’s lifecycle, but it’s also possible that Activision might decide to integrate the next Call of Duty release in 2025 with the launch of Call of Duty 2025 instead.

We’ll update this when we have an exact release date for Verdansk’s reintroduction.

When Was Verdansk Removed From Warzone?

In December 2021, Verdansk was taken down to make way for the new tropical map, Caldera, which was introduced along with Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone Caldera.

From its initial appearance, the original Verdansk underwent numerous transformations, starting with the opening of Bunkers and culminating in the destruction of Vedansk. This ultimately paved the way for a fresh beginning with Verdansk ’84. I’m certain we all have our first and last encounters on this iconic map (mine resulted in a victory!), and 2025 is poised to evoke nostalgia and create new, memorable experiences and matches.

On a scale of 1-10, how thrilled are you about Verdansk’s comeback? Are you eager to freefall at Dam, Train Station, and Superstore? Or do you think the excitement might fade as swiftly as a quick skirmish in the original Gulag? Additionally, here’s some guidance on resolving the Travis Rilea Error Code should it cause any issues for you.
