Where is GTA 6 Set? New GTA Map Explained

As a seasoned Grand Theft Auto player with countless hours spent navigating the virtual streets of Vice City, Los Santos, and Liberty City, I must say, Rockstar Games has truly outdone themselves with the unveiling of Grand Theft Auto 6’s map!

Rockstar Games has unveiled Grand Theft Auto 6, offering a peek into its detailed map through a recently released trailer. What we saw was a mix of various landscapes, including swamps, forests, beaches, islands, and an urban jungle glowing with neon lights. However, one might wonder where exactly GTA 6 is set and if it’s somewhere familiar to us.

Let’s learn about the new GTA 6 map.

The GTA 6 Map Is Massive

In recent updates, it’s been revealed that GTA 6 is set in Leonida, a made-up country with similarities to Florida. Similar to how San Andreas served as the city at the core of the map in GTA 5, this new game features Vice City, a major metropolis that gamers will recall from the 2002 title with the same name. However, unlike the original, this version is set in contemporary times while still preserving an ’80s ambiance.

As a gaming enthusiast, I can’t contain my excitement after catching a glimpse of the upcoming GTA 6 map in its trailer! The anticipated release date is set for 2025, and from what I’ve seen, it’s shaping up to be a beauty. In the sneak peek, we witnessed airboats slicing through treacherous swamps, planes cruising over sparkling blue seas and pristine, sandy coastlines, and traffic jams galore amidst towering skyscrapers and vibrant nightclubs pulsating with neon lights. It’s going to be one wild ride!
