Unlike the original Code Vein, the sequel features a huge, open map that players can explore after the initial tutorial. While you won’t be able to reach every area immediately – some locations and dungeons unlock as you advance the story – the game offers much greater freedom of exploration.
In Code Vein 2, players can find the character Holly in the Undead Forest. However, the game doesn’t clearly show how to get there, which can be confusing. Here’s a guide to help you find the entrance to the forest.
How to Reach Undead Forest in Code Vein 2
Following the recent Noah update, players can now use a motorcycle to get around the game world much faster. The main goal is to find all the heroes, who are spread throughout different areas. You can tackle their quests in any order you like, but eventually, you’ll need to venture into the Undead Forest, and finding your way there can be tricky.
After you defeat the monsters marked on your map, you’ll see a highway heading west towards the Undead Forest in the northwest. However, the road ends at a collapsed tunnel, and that’s the only way to reach the forest.
Even if you’ve unlocked the 2187 Free Exploration, you won’t be able to pass through the tunnel. Although the rubble will be gone, a force field will block your way until you’ve fully explored the area.
Instead, you need to go to the Collapsed Tunnel in the present. It’s east of the road to the blocked tunnel, or north of Josee’s Outpost. Once inside, you’ll find a Mistle and a straightforward path leading to the Undead Forest, where you can start looking for Hero Holly.
Okay, so a lot of the Undead Forest is blocked off at first. You can’t get into everything right away. I had to go back to the present and find three specific spots in the forest before I could really start exploring. It’s like a little puzzle before you get full access!
