Resident Evil 7 introduced collectible Antique Coins, which players can trade for rewards in the game’s trailer area. These rewards include powerful items like the Magnum handgun, as well as helpful consumables like the Stabilizer and Steroid. Because these items are so valuable, finding the coins can be challenging, particularly later in the game.
Collecting Antique Coins is trickier on the Madhouse difficulty in Resident Evil 7 – they appear in different spots. There are 33 coins to find on Madhouse, but only 18 on Easy and Normal. This guide shows you where to find all 18 Antique Coins if you’re playing on Easy or Normal difficulty.
Antique Coin Location 1
The first Antique Coin in Resident Evil 7 is easy to miss. It’s hidden in a locked drawer in the kitchen of the Guest House on the first floor. You need to find a lockpick while playing as Clancy during the “Derelict House Footage” section and use it to open the drawer first. Then, when you play as Ethan, you can open the same drawer and collect the coin. The image above shows where to find the lockpick when you’re playing as Clancy.

The Antique Coin is located on the red lawnmower in the hallway connecting the Pantry and the Laundry Room.

This Antique Coin is located in the northwestern drawer of the Main Hall of Main House 1F.

You can find the fourth Antique Coin in the Recreation Room on the second floor of the Main House. It’s next to the Bobblehead, inside a basket, on the northeastern side of the room – near where you found the Broken Shotgun in Resident Evil 7.
Antique Coin Location 5

You can find the fifth Antique Coin in Resident Evil 7 by checking inside the toilet in the second-floor bathroom of the Main House.
Antique Coin Location 6

You can find the Antique Coin in the ashtray on the table in the room connecting the Main Hall and the Drawing Room, inside the Main House. Ethan passes through this room after completing the shadow puzzle and crawling through the wall to reach the Drawing Room, while searching for the Dog Heads in Resident Evil 7.

Ethan can find the next antique coin hidden behind a wooden palette in Processing Area B1 of the Main House. The palette is next to the light blue door he needs to open.
Antique Coin Location 8

Once you leave the Baker’s main house, the eighth Antique Coin is located in a flower pot on the southeast corner of the yard. To find it, turn right as you exit the house.

You can find the Antique Coin inside the trailer in the yard, on the table next to the Magnum in Resident Evil 7. If you’ve followed this guide, you should now have enough coins to obtain the Magnum if you want it. Remember to save the Magnum ammo for tough boss fights, as it’s limited.

Ethan can pick up this Antique Coin from a trolley by the Cellar of the Old House.

The final antique coin was discovered in a drawer close to the altar, right next to the door that needs Marguerite’s lantern to unlock.
Antique Coin Location 13

You can find the next Antique Coin in a small room full of explosives at the beginning of Testing Area 1F. We suggest shooting the explosives first to clear a path and make it easier to get inside.
Antique Coin Location 14

Okay, so I found the Antique Coin. It’s on the second floor of the Testing Area, right next to a body. There’s a creepy note stuck to the corpse that says “You’re Next” – definitely unsettling, but the coin is just sitting there on a shelf beside it.
Antique Coin Location 15

After Mia experiences her first flashback about a conversation near the vent entrance in Wrecked Ship S1, she’ll find the next Antique Coin hidden inside the vents. You’ll need to crawl through the vents as part of the game’s story to get it.
Antique Coin Location 16

Mia also discovered this Antique Coin in the flooded section of the Wrecked Ship S1, near the two ladders. Because it’s underwater, you won’t see it at first. Swim around and look down until a message appears letting you know you can pick it up.
Antique Coin Location 17
Okay, so I need to grab an Antique Coin, and it’s locked away in a box in the Control Room on the third floor of the wrecked ship. Luckily, I found a note saying there’s a lockpick on the same floor, in the Shaft room – there’s a picture showing exactly where to look, it’s the third one! I just need to use that lockpick to open the box and get the coin.
Antique Coin Location 18

To find the final Antique Coin in Resident Evil 7, you’ll need at least one Corrosive. It’s hidden inside a sealed box on the wall of a corridor northeast of the No. 1 Engine Room, on the Wrecked Ship’s second floor (S2). You’ll encounter it during the intense Molded chase sequence as you head towards the Cargo Bay, where many enemies appear.
