Where to Find All Legendary Animals in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

In the game Assassin’s Creed Shadows, players get a chance to hunt for 5 extraordinary creatures whose images can be beautifully rendered as Sumi-e artworks to decorate their secret lairs.

Due to an advanced seasonal mechanism, these remarkable beasts emerge exclusively at certain hours of the day and during select seasons. To ensure a seamless encounter with these legendary animals, we’ve created this guide to make your adventure more enjoyable and, of course, help you track down these elusive creatures.

Finding and drawing all five mythical beasts in Assassin’s Creed Shadows will earn you the silver trophy “A Rare Sight,” an important trophy for acquiring the platinum. Without a guide, you might spend hundreds of hours without ever catching a glimpse of one of these creatures, as they are connected to Japanese folklore.

Known as the Legendary Crane, this bird can be found gracefully standing on the eastern bank of Lake Suigetsu in Wakasa. It makes its appearance exclusively during the winter season, from 7 in the morning until 9 at night.

In the tranquil grove known as Little Leaf Glade, just a stone’s throw from Sarumaru Shrine in Yamashiro, these renowned wise monkeys can be found. They are present throughout all seasons, however, they prefer to show themselves only under the cover of night.

The Fabled White Raccoon Dog (Fabled Tanuki) – Found in The Radiant Meadows, specifically at the Mouth of Seta River in Omi. Can be seen exclusively during Summer, from 7 AM to 9 PM.

At the Kamimisu Inari Shrine, along the Nakahechi Route in Kii, you’ll find a renowned creature known as the Legendary Silver Fox. This elusive figure is sighted exclusively during the Autumn season, making an appearance only under the cover of night.

Known as the Legendary Sakura Sika Deer, this majestic creature resides in the beautiful Sakura Meadow, located to the left of Yoshino within the Yamato province.
