Meloetta is a unique Pokémon with the ability to switch forms and types during battles using its Relic Song move. In its base form, called Aria Forme, it’s a Normal and Psychic type, but it can change to the Normal and Fighting type Pirouette Forme. Where To Find & Catch Meloetta in Pokemon Legends Z-A

In Pokémon Legends Z-A, players can find it by finishing the main story of the Mega Dimension DLC, specifically after completing Hyperspace Missions 12, 13, and 14 – “The Greatest Gift,” “A Ruby-Red Legend,” and “A Sapphire-Blue Legend,” respectively.

Players will need to finish the main story and the post-game content – which includes catching Kyogre, Groudon, and Rayquaza – before they can start collecting the other Legendary Pokémon, like Meloetta.

With those tasks finished, Corbeau will ask players to return to the Rust Syndicate to learn about Special Scans. These scans become available whenever you earn 25,000 Survey Points – much like the way Infinite Royale features are unlocked.

To obtain Meloetta, players must first earn a certain number of Survey Points. Then, they need to speak with Phillipe at the Rust Syndicate to activate the Special Scan.

A new, yellow Unknown Distortion has appeared on the map. Be sure to target the yellow one, as the red Distortions are Battle Zones and function differently.

Players need a level 100 or higher Donut Pokémon before heading to this location, and it’s a good idea to save your game right at the entrance. Unlike normal Distortions, you don’t need to worry about the time of day, as this special area stays in one place. The challenge is that this Rift contains a random Legendary Pokémon – but it will be one of the non-cover Legendaries introduced in Mega Dimension.

To find Meloetta, players need to enter the rift and wait for Corbeau to talk to them. You’ll see your character look around, and then the Rust Syndicate will call with information about nearby Pokémon. If the message says, “We are detecting Meloetta near you. Go and catch it!”, that’s your cue to start searching.

Meloetta usually appears in the main hall of the shops in Hyperspace Lumiose. This hall is a long, straight path and the only way to enter a building in this area, making it easy to find. Unfortunately, Meloetta is currently unable to be found in its shiny form, meaning using a Sparkling Power Donut won’t make a shiny version appear.

Catching this Pokémon isn’t too difficult. Hide behind the wall near the entrance and carefully approach when Meloetta is facing away from you. Throw an Ultra Ball to try and catch it. If it doesn’t work, you might need to lower Meloetta’s health a little, but make sure you catch it on this attempt to avoid having to start over from your last save.
