In the game Grounded 2, Mite Fuzz is an essential ingredient for many important early recipes. To ensure a smooth start, it’s beneficial for players to know where they can find this item and how to obtain it effectively.
How to Get Mite Fuzz in Grounded 2

In the game Grounded 2, you gather Mite Fuzz by eliminating Lawn Mites. These tiny, red arthropods are among the initial creatures players meet upon choosing their character and exiting the Ominent facility. Once slain, each Lawn Mite leaves behind a single Mite Fuzz, which can be collected by interacting with its remains after it has been defeated.
Instead of being like Red Ants and Aphids, Lawn Mites behave aggressively towards any intruder within their visual range, prompting them to pursue relentlessly if players come into view.
In the immersive world of Grounded 2, I’ve come across these pesky creatures known as Lawn Mites. They tend to travel in packs and if you’re not on your guard, they can overrun you, leading to a swift game over. One-on-one, they’re manageable, but when they band together, they become quite the challenge, especially on those tougher difficulty settings where every move counts.
Lawn Mite Locations in Grounded 2

Locating Lawn Mites in farming proves challenging due to their unpredictable appearance across Brookhollow Park. Since they pop up irregularly, it’s tough to farm them effectively unless you know their exact hiding spots. Here are some spots for early game farming where you can consistently find them.
- Behind Ranger Station: Snackbar is a rear tunnel that leads out to a pond. You access this tunnel in order to enter the facility for the first time. There are seven or eight Lawn Mites in this tunnel.
- East of Ranger Outpost: Snackbar, there is a dirt path with a few Lawn Mites on it.
- Just to the north of the same Ranger Outpost is another group of Lawn Mites.
- East of the northern part of the Snackbar is a fourth gathering.
In the game, Lawn Mites will reappear after a gap of 1 to 3 in-game days, similar to other creatures. The passage of time in Grounded 2 follows its own rhythm, but you can accelerate it by constructing a Lean-To and resting until the next day arrives.
