Where to Find Patrigio in Crimson Desert (Wandering Secret Merchant)

In the game Crimson Desert, Patrigio is a traveling merchant who sells rare items. You can find him on the roads at night, but he appears randomly. There’s no way to force him to show up, only certain areas he might appear in each night. Here’s how the system works.

Where to Find Patrigio in Crimson Desert

Patrigio Location

In Crimson Desert, you can find Patrigio traveling the roads at night, specifically between midnight and 4 AM. He doesn’t follow a predictable path, so players can’t pinpoint his exact location.

From our testing, we’ve found Patrigio in the following locations:

  • Howling Hill camp
  • Kilnden Workshop
  • Springtide Mill

Just a heads up: Patrigio only appears on paved roads that are visible on the map. He won’t be found off-road or in wild areas, so stick to the roads if you’re trying to find him.

Howling Hill Camp

Advance to Chapter 3 of the main storyline in Crimson Desert to unlock the Howling Hill camp, which will become home to the Greymanes. Once the camp is established, Patrigio may appear either at the camp entrance or on the road leading from the camp back to Hernand.

Kilnden Workshop

In Crimson Desert, you’ll access the Kuku Pot at the Kilnden Workshop during Chapter 4. Keep an eye out for Patrigio – he sometimes appears on the roads just west of the workshop.

Springtide Mill

Okay, so I’m looking for the Springtide Mill, and it’s just north of Howling Hill camp, right on the main road that goes around Hernand. Apparently, this guy Patrigio sometimes walks along that road at night, so I’ll have to keep an eye out when I’m heading that way.

So far, I’ve personally confirmed Patrigio showing up in the places I mentioned earlier, but other players have reported seeing him in even more spots! Apparently, he’s been spotted near the Sanctum of Benediction, in Sunset Valley, and down south near Demeniss, just to name a few. It sounds like he really pops up all over the place!

Best Method To Find Patrigio in Crimson Desert

The best method to find Patrigio in Crimson Desert is as follows:

  1. Progress the game to Chapter 3/4 and complete the Greymane faction mission to build the camp on Howling Hill.
  2. Pass the time inside the Howling Hill camp until it is 11:58 PM, just before midnight, and make a hard save.
  3. Wait for the clock to hit 00:00 AM (12:00 AM) to reach midnight.
  4. Check if Patrigio has spawned in the camp, near the banner.
  5. If he hasn’t appeared, reload from the save you made in Step 2.
  6. Repeat until Patrigio appears in the Howling Hill camp.

The strategy is straightforward. Since Patrigio only appears after midnight, players can repeatedly reload a save made just before 12:00 AM near a known location if he doesn’t spawn, effectively forcing him to appear.

In Crimson Desert, the game prevents you from quickly advancing time to search for Patrigio. However, players can save the game and reload it to get around this limitation, effectively letting them repeatedly try for a better chance of Patrigio appearing.

Howling Hill is the ideal spot to use this strategy because it’s accessible early in the game. Plus, when you reload your save, you’ll start very close to where Patrigio appears, saving you time traveling.

Patrigio’s appearances seem completely random. He might not show up for weeks, even in places where he’s known to be, but then appear several nights in a row. Because of this unpredictability, you’ll need to repeatedly try to find him – a ‘reroll’ method – to consistently locate him.
