It’s a great trade considering the single herb cost. Similar to other summer crops in Fields of Mistria, sesame can be found growing in various wild locations. However, with numerous forageable items to discover, locating sesame might prove challenging, and you may wonder where it is exactly hidden.
Luckily, there are some potential sesame spawn spots near you. But when it comes time to complete the quest, you may find yourself asking where to locate Vera, a character who is typically available on just one specific day within the game’s ‘Fields of Mistria’.
Sesame Location In Fields Of Mistria
In the captivating world of Fields of Mistria, I discovered that sesame, a wild-growing herb, blooms exclusively in the summer. Although it’s theoretically present elsewhere on the map, my personal exploration led me to just one location: by the charming chicken statue near Hayden’s farm within the Sweetwater Farm map area. This particular spot is also where lilac blossoms during the springtime. Here’s a snapshot of that spot for reference.
While scouring for sesame plants, you can identify them by their vibrant green foliage and tiny clusters of white blossoms. Once ripe, these plants yield brown pods filled with sesame seeds.
What To Do With Sesame In Fields Of Mistria
One use for sesame in Fields of Mistria is to complete quests like Vera’s Request for Sesame, which you can find on the town request board usually during the early days of Summer, Year 1. However, once you’ve harvested sesame, you’ll need to wait for the Saturday Market to find Vera’s location in Fields of Mistria, where she runs her hair stall at the top-right side of the market.
Following the completion of your quest, Vera will bestow upon you a unique recipe named “Sesame Broccoli.” To prepare this dish, you only need one sesame and one broccoli. However, you can also create other dishes with sesame, such as the “Sesame Tuna Bowl,” which calls for one tuna, one sesame, one cucumber, and one serving of rice. Enjoying the Sesame Broccoli dish will restore both your health (by +46 points) and stamina (by +46 points). Alternatively, you can sell it for 115 Tesserae.
You could also keep sesame for a snack to top up your health and stamina. When eaten, Sesame restores a modest +5 health and +5 stamina. You can also ship any sesame that you don’t want in your shipping bin to sell it for 30 Tesserae each.
