As a seasoned survivor of the post-apocalyptic world in 7 Days to Die, I can’t stress enough how crucial it is to know where your beloved Traders are located. My dear friends, let me take you back to my humble beginnings, when every step was a struggle for survival and every resource was precious.

In the game of 7 Days to Die, traders play a significant role by offering various quests to help you earn experience points (XP) and obtain scarce items. Each trader can be found at distinct locations with unique visiting hours.

As a gamer in 7 Days to Die, I’ve discovered that when the game initially guides me to the closest Trader during the tutorial, there are actually more Traders scattered throughout the map. Here’s where you can find all of them and their operating hours to help you plan your trading journey:

Currently, we’re graced with the company of an impressive five Traders scattered across the game map:

Based on my personal gaming experiences, I’ve noticed that Trader Joel has been a consistent presence during the beginning stages of my new server ventures. His location appears to be in a safer area compared to other Traders, making him an appealing choice for newcomers like myself. The Pine Forest, where Joel resides, is relatively easy to traverse with minimal animal threats. This is likely why I’ve been guided towards him multiple times. From my perspective, Joel’s location offers a more peaceful and less chaotic starting point in the game.

Trader Jen

  • Coordinates: 280 E;238 S
  • Biome: Burnt Forest Biome

To increase your chances of survival, it would be wise to bring a vehicle along and equip yourself with the strongest weapons and armor available.

How to find Traders on randomly generated worlds

In a randomly generated game world, the positions of your Traders may vary from what’s shown here. Due to this individual difference, you’ll have to turn on the debug mode and input a special code to discover their current locations.

Here’s how to enable the menu and find your trader locations:

  1. Open the command console.
  2. Hit F1 and type dm, then hit enter.
  3. While still in the menu, type ‘traderarea’ and hit enter.
  4. You should have the coordinates of all the traders on your map.

As a console gamer, I regret to inform you that this technique can only be employed on personal computer setups. Consequently, console users need to familiarize themselves with the regular trading post locations of various NPCs in diverse biomes instead.

7 Days to Die Traders explained

As a gamer in the zombie survival game, 7 Days to Die, I encounter non-player characters (NPCs) referred to as traders. These NPCs set up shop with an array of goods for me to purchase using Duke’s Casino Tokens. Occasionally, they present me with quests that, upon completion, reward me handsomely.

Instead of selling items to receive Dukes from a Trader, keep in mind that they’re selective about what they buy. Here’s a list of the types of quests you can obtain from them:

  • Fetch Jobs: Your task with Fetch jobs will be to find a Courier Satchel in a specified building.
  • Clear Jobs: These jobs will task you with clearing all zombies from a specified area.
  • Fetch and Clear Jobs: Go to a specific area, clear out the zombies, and grab White River Supplies.
  • Buried Supplies Jobs: Go to a specified location and dig a hole until you find the buried supplies.
  • Open Trade Route Jobs: Travel to and interact with another Trader.
  • Restore Power Jobs: Only available at night, you must restart a generator in a specified area. Defeat all the zombies that get alerted.

Should you meet your end during the pursuit of completing the quest, unfortunately, you’ll come up short and forfeit the promised rewards. The compensation can vary, but usually includes an increase in experience points and Duke’s Casino Tokens.

Best perks to enhance Traders

  • Attribute: Intellect
    • Better Barter: Get a decrease in price from Traders and get more money when you sell things to them.
    • The Daring Adventurer: Get better rewards for completing quests.

Upgrading Traders may not offer a large number of benefits, but the following two advantages can significantly improve your rewards for quests and generate more income. Traders frequently possess significant items, making them indispensable from the beginning to the end of the game.

Placing your base near a Trader is beneficial as you’ll be in close proximity to a consistent supply of vital resources, modifications, and other essentials for your survival, particularly during the initial stages. Moreover, having a well-positioned base is crucial when dealing with Blood Moons, ensuring you’re prepared for the impending Horde attack.
