You’ll need a ton of them to make a lot of the best stuff, and getting them early on can really help you build relationships with the different corporations in the game. Unlike Wolfram Bars, you can’t just start making these right away. You’ll have to work on improving your reputation with the corporations to unlock the recipe. Here’s a breakdown of how to get Wolfram Plates in StarRupture.

How to Get Wolfram Plates in StarRupture

Okay, so you want to start making Wolfram Plates? Here’s the deal: you’ll need to find the recipe first, and you can do that at the Recipe Station. But there’s a catch – you won’t unlock the Recipe Station itself until you’ve leveled up with the Moon Energy Corporation to level 2. It’s a bit of a grind, but worth it if you’re aiming for those plates!

Let me tell you about the Recipe Station – it’s become essential in my base. It’s where you learn how to craft everything, from vital industrial parts like Ceramic to, you know, actual food to keep your colonists going. Once you build it, just interact with it and hit the Fabricator icon. That pulls up a whole list of new recipes you can unlock for your Fabricator, and that’s where you’ll find things like Wolfram Plates. Seriously, it’s a game changer for expanding your crafting options.

The Wolfram Plates recipe is unlocked by inserting the following:

  • 600 Wolfram Bars
  • 200 Data Points

Making 600 Wolfram Bars takes time, but you can speed things up by building more production facilities. A large Wolfram Ore deposit east of the starting area offers plenty of space for multiple mining and smelting setups. Simply place some Ore Extractors and Smelters there, and you’ll quickly produce the Wolfram Bars you need.

You can find Data Points all over the map. Collect every plant you see, and don’t forget to loot parts from Vermin to turn in at the Analyzing Station. For the biggest rewards, explore the abandoned bases – their containers often hold items worth hundreds or even thousands of Data Points when analyzed.

When drones crash, they often contain valuable Data Points. You can locate them on your map using Geo Scanners if you have any nearby.

After learning the recipe for Wolfram Plates in StarRupture, you can start making them by building a production line. This line needs an Ore Extractor, a Smelter, and a Fabricator. Configure the Fabricator to create Wolfram Plates, then connect it to Orbital Cargo Launchers or a storage system to move the finished plates.
