In Heartopia, hobbies aren’t just a pastime – they quickly become a central part of everyday life. Whether you enjoy gardening, fishing, cooking, or something else, you’ll find plenty of relaxing activities to learn and enjoy in Heartopia.
Birdwatching is a wonderfully relaxing hobby. It gets you to slow down, connect with nature, and discover the diverse birdlife around you. A common and charming bird many players encounter early on is the Wonga Pigeon.
Where to Find Wonga Pigeon in Heartopia

The Wonga Pigeon is a fairly common bird on the island and can be found in the Forest area. Unlike some of the rarer birds that only appear at certain times or during events, you can find the Wonga Pigeon throughout the entire day, giving you lots of opportunities to see it.
Here are its exact conditions:
- Location: Forest
- Time of Day: All Day
- Weather: Sunny, Rainy, Rainbow
- Level Required: Birdwatching Level 2
Once you reach Birdwatching Level 2, you can begin searching for the Wonga Pigeon whenever you like. Go to the forest with your scanner or camera, and be sure to stay far enough away. Move quietly and patiently – wait for the pigeon to land or make a sound before taking a picture.
For a better star rating and higher-quality Info Cards (which lead to better rewards), try to photograph pigeons when they’re actively posing, not just when they’re resting.
How to Unlock & Upgrade Birdwatching in Heartopia
You can start birdwatching once you reach Developer Level 6. After playing for a few hours and finishing the beginning parts of the game, you’ll unlock this hobby as a special quest.
Once you hit Developer Level 6:
- Visit Bailey J., who is located upstairs inside the pet store in the town center.
- Bailey J. will explain how Birdwatching works and give you your first scanner.
- You’ll be asked to speak with the other Hobby Mentors.
- After meeting all three, return to Bailey J. with your Hobby Expansion Ticket.
- Choose Birdwatching as your next hobby to permanently unlock it.
If you pick a different hobby, you’ll have to wait to get another Expansion Ticket. That’s why starting with Birdwatching is a good idea.
To level up Birdwatching faster:
- Photograph new birds as soon as you find them.
- Wait for birds to chirp or pose for better star ratings.
- Avoid getting too close so that the birds don’t fly away.
- Turn in Info Cards to Bailey J. for rewards.
