How to Get a Battle Axe Early in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster
As a gamer, I’ve discovered that the battle axe in Willamette Mall can only be found at Ned’s Knicknackery, nestled within the Entrance Plaza. Climb up to the second floor, keep the main mall entrance on your left, and voila! That’s where the game truly kicks off. Once you step into the cozy antique store, make a beeline for the back-right corner of the shop. There, you’ll find a wall adorned with an array of vintage weapons, most of which are just for display.
After shattering the glass display, you’re free to grab the Battle Axe. Although there are various swords, armor, and helmets within the case, only the Battle Axe is accessible. However, that’s fine since it’s more than enough for your purposes.

How to Use the Battle Axe Effectively
In every game, each weapon has its unique role; however, the Battle Axe stands out as a devastating tool for taking down groups of zombies at once. With just one powerful swing, Frank can easily eliminate two or even three zombies in his path.
Similar to a Katana, the Battle Axe has a limited lifespan after moderate use. It can withstand approximately 25 blows before becoming unusable. However, you can upgrade the Battle Axe by obtaining the Criminal Biography book, hidden in Sir Books-A-Lot’s (Wonderland Plaza) collection. This book triples the durability of all edged weapons within the game, making it essential for your entire gaming experience!
