Where To Get Deceit In Remnant 2

As a seasoned veteran of Remnant 2, I’ve seen my fair share of long guns and their quirks. The Deceit, however, is one that has earned a special place in my arsenal. It may seem weak at first glance, but once you get the hang of it, this beauty can dish out some serious damage!

Deceit is an intricately designed weapon ideal for those who favor accurate firearms in the game Remnant 2. It offers a distinctive gameplay style that may require some practice to master.

In the beginning, Deceit might appear feeble, but it packs a powerful punch once you grasp its rhythm, dealing significant damage with each shot. It’s not as straightforward or user-friendly as some other long guns in Remnant 2, but those who master its use will uncover its high damage-per-second (DPS) potential.

In the game “Remnant 2”, you can craft a unique boss weapon, previously made by McCabe in Ward 13. The key element for this weapon is the “Imposter’s Heart“, which can only be obtained by defeating Faelin within Losomn. Keep in mind that acquiring the “Beatific Palace” map during your adventure in Losomn is essential. To increase your chances, consider re-rolling an adventure mode run in “Remnant 2”.

To prevent any misunderstanding, remember that Faelin holds authority on the side of light within the Beatific Palace. To triumph over him, it’s necessary for you to ally with Faerin, who governs the palace’s dark domain. Once you conquer Faerin, the Melded Hilt will be yours, an essential item needed to craft the Godsplitter sword.

Fighting against Faelin can be quite challenging, but with practice and understanding of his moves, you’ll eventually get the hang of it. With better equipment, even basic weapons can prove effective against him.

Is Deceit Worth It?

Indeed, except if you’re aiming for a complete melee build, Deceit is a slow-firing long gun that sacrifices the capability to hit weak spots for a significantly higher base critical hit chance. This weapon suits an Archetype in Remnant 2 such as the Hunter, or any class that can leverage crit-based accessories and Mutators effectively.

To compensate for its inability to strike vulnerable areas, Deceit features a special mod named Ouroboros. This mod generates a circle of blades around the user. When you perform a melee attack, one of these blades will zoom towards your target, causing them to receive a debuff that makes all shots from Deceit count as weakspot hits. Combined with the rifle’s exceptionally high critical chance, Deceit stands out as one of the top Long Guns in the game for clearing mobs, and it also performs relatively well against Elites and Bosses.

Incidentally, players can acquire the Faerin’s Sigil by returning to Faerin following the defeat of Faelin. This ring refills Mod Power upon each critical hit and weak spot you land, making it particularly beneficial when using Deceit, especially during times when Ouroboros is active. With these abilities, you’ll be able to rapidly recharge your Weapon Mod entirely.

When deceit is employed, there’s a brief delay before it takes effect, much like how you might need to wait when firing something. This delay can be reduced with the use of enhancers such as the Supercharger.
