Okay, so in Hytale, Linen Scraps are a super important resource, especially when you’re just starting out. I’m going to need a ton of them for crafting, but mostly to keep my gear in good shape. The tricky thing is, you can’t make Linen Scraps – at least not yet! That means I need to actually go out into the world and find them. So, I’m stocking up on food, grabbing my best weapons, and getting ready to fight because it’s going to be a bit of a hunt!
Hytale Linen Scraps Location
You get Linen Scraps by defeating monsters that look like people, such as Skeletons, Goblins, and Trorks. Fen Stalkers, and similar creatures, don’t drop them, so it’s best to focus on fighting enemies that actually wear gear if you’re trying to collect Linen Scraps.
You’ll find monster-like creatures appearing randomly while you explore. However, if you need a reliable place to find them, check your map for camps or ruins. These locations are easy to see, and if you find one with the monsters we discussed, it’s a perfect place to collect Linen Scraps.
Monster camps are useful because the creatures inside reappear after a while. This is helpful since monsters don’t always leave behind Linen Scraps when you defeat them. Trorks and Goblins are more likely to drop Linen Scraps, and Skeletons usually drop Bone Fragments instead.
Where to Find Monster Camps
Monster camps are all over the world, and you can identify them based on how they look on the map:
- Skeleton ruins are surrounded by walls
- Trork camps are built on dirt, either on hills, flat ground, or mountains
- Goblin camps are inside mountains
Chests often contain useful items like Linen Scraps and other loot. Be sure to search all the camps mentioned above, as they typically have chests you can open.
What are Linen Scraps For?
Linen Scraps are mostly useful at the beginning of the game for making basic tools and weapons. However, their most important use is crafting Repair Kits in Hytale. These kits help keep your equipment in good shape, but you’ll also need Light Leather and Iron Ingots to make them – and both of those materials can be a bit challenging to get.
Other recipes that require Linen Scraps are:
- Iron and Thorium Tools
- Iron and Thorium Weapons
- Iron and Thorium Armor
- Repair Kits
