In Soulmask, you can get Premium Fresh Meat by either crafting it or obtaining it from certain animals. When hunting, focus on finding Elite animals – like dogs, jaguars, or alligators – in dens or ruins. After defeating them, use your knife to skin the animal. This will give you Premium Fresh Meat, along with other valuable resources, and even animal chunks that can be used to craft more Premium Fresh Meat within Soulmask.
Soulmask Premium Fresh Meat Locations
To get the highest quality meat, focus on finding areas with Elite animals. A good way to discover these locations is by scaring a Scout in your camp – this will reveal all nearby points of interest and clear the fog from your map. Once you’ve scared the Scout, check your map for Lairs (marked with paw icons) and see if they contain Elite animals.
On the jungle map, you’ll most likely encounter an Elite Jaguar lair first. In the Shifting Sands desert, look east of Three River Junction for an Elite Dog lair, and find an Elite Alligator lair right in front of the Pyramid where you battle the Sobek Crocodile. Defeating the animals in these lairs will reward you with Premium Fresh Meat.
When you defeat and skin most creatures in Soulmask, they’ll drop various pieces of raw material called chunks. You can take these chunks to a Butcher’s Table you’ve built, and process them into high-quality Fresh Meat. Some examples of these chunks include:
- Elite Alligator Carcass Chunk
- Premium Carcass Chunk
- Premium Thick Hide Carcass Chunk
- Rhino Carcass Chunk
- Anaconda Carcass Chunk
Occasionally, animals will directly give you high-quality meat when you skin them. However, it’s more efficient to use a Butcher’s Table to break down everything into valuable resources. You’ll need a lot of materials as you progress, so make sure to utilize everything you get.
