As a seasoned gamer who’s been through countless RPG adventures, I can confidently say that the art of building a balanced party is not just about brute strength, but rather a delicate dance between different abilities and roles. The Dragon Quest 3 Remake is no exception to this rule, with each class offering unique strengths and weaknesses that must be carefully considered in combat.
In the remake of Dragon Quest 3, every character class boasts unique strengths and vulnerabilities that come into play during battle. It’s optimal for your party composition when you include characters from various classes, as they each fulfill distinct roles in combat – either by supporting their allies or dishing out significant damage.
As a gamer, I always strive to enhance my team’s strengths rather than attempting to make each character a master of all trades. For instance, the Hermes Hat is an excellent gear piece that suits those party members who are more fragile. Here’s where you can grab it and who would benefit most from wearing it.
Where To Get The Hermes Hat In Dragon Quest 3 Remake
The Hermes Hat is found in one of the secret locations hidden around the world, with this one requires the boat to get. You will first need to progress the story until you get the Black Pepper and return it to the king to get the ship, then begin sailing southeast. Travel to the very southeastern corner of the southeastern continent, stopping by the Pirate’s Den to get the Red Orb.
Once you obtain the Red Orb, continue sailing your ship towards the southeast until you spot some rocks jutting out from the water that appear interactive. Interacting with these rocks will transport you to a hidden location where you’ll find the Hermes Hat. This treasure can be located at the bottom right corner of the small rock island within the secret location.
Who Should Use The Hermes Hat In Dragon Quest 3 Remake
- Defense – 28
- Protection from Wind Spells.
In the remake of Dragon Quest 3, the strength system revolves around the elemental properties of spells, and it’s crucial to take these elements into account even though your party doesn’t have vulnerabilities. Wind spells, notably those such as ‘Woosh’ and ‘Swoosh’, affect the entire party. If you encounter enemies or bosses with potent wind spells, they can swiftly eliminate your spellcasters regardless of their position in the party lineup.
It’s most advantageous to award the Hermes Hat to the party member with the least health, preferably in your last position, be it a Mage, Sage, or Priest. This character is likely to succumb quickly to repeated wind spells, especially when confronting groups of enemies equipped with wind abilities like Cumaulus, or similar enemies encountered later in the game.
