Where To Get The Leech Trait In Remnant 2

As a seasoned Remnant 2 gamer with countless hours spent traversing the treacherous landscapes of N’Erud and beyond, I can confidently say that the Leech Trait is a game-changer for those seeking to extend their survivability in combat. However, it’s not for the faint-hearted or the solo player, as this elusive trait requires a bit of cooperation and a dash of luck.

In Remnant 2, various Traits bestow bonus stats to players, and Leech is one of several choices that focuses on enhancing durability. While it’s not essential, having this Trait will undoubtedly benefit players aiming to engage in battles for extended periods.

Acquiring the Leech trait isn’t just a matter of chance, but it’s also somewhat intricate. Players will only be able to acquire it by playing Remnant 2 with other players or at least one companion. If having friends to play with or playing solo doesn’t pose a problem for you, then here’s how to get the Trait.

How To Get Leech In Remnant

The Leech can exclusively be acquired from the Sleeping N’Erudian Facility on the planet N’Erud.

  1. Find the Dormant N’Erudian Facility on N’Erud with a friend.
  2. Reach the room with the giant purple tank.
  3. Stay in the room with the tank.
  4. Have your friend reach the secret control room.
  5. Let your friend activate the purge from the control room.
  6. Die to the toxic gas.

As a gamer diving into the N’Erudian Facility dungeon, I’ve got a thrilling six-minute sprint ahead of me to conquer the entire map. The goal is to find the colossal tank brimming with purple gas and use it as a guide to reach the control room nestled in an expansive open area at the end. To get there, keep an eye out for an opening in the railings that leads to a safe ledge you can drop onto within this vast space. Once spotted, take the path and ride the elevator all the way up until I finally set foot in the control room.

To acquire the Leech trait, a player should remain in the open zone, allowing the other player to discharge the toxic gas. Once the room becomes engulfed by a harmful, violet fog, the person within it will expire and obtain the Trait. Conversely, the one who disperses the gas will receive the Siphoner Trait instead.

What Does Leech Do?

Where To Get The Leech Trait In Remnant 2

As a gamer, I can tell you that Leech significantly amplifies my vampiric abilities, boosting the effectiveness of life steal by up to an impressive 50% at its maximum rank. However, it’s important to note that this trait only enhances current life steal effects; if you’re looking for a skill that actively makes me recover health every time I deal damage, then you should aim for Siphoner instead. That’s the one that triggers the purge in the Dormant N’Erudian Facility. Oh, and by the way, the control room in this dungeon is where you’ll find one of the keys required to obtain the Pulse Rifle in Remnant 2.

The efficacy bonus provided by Leech is massive, and it works extremely well when combined with Siphoner and the following Amulets:

  • Full Moon Circlet: Ranged damage heals you for 3% of the base damage dealt. Gain 25% increased damage when your health is full.
  • Difference Engine: Gain 20% bonus damage and lifesteal equal to 4.5% base damage dealt to targets whenever you have a Shield.
  • Nightmare Spiral: Gain lifesteal equal to 10% of base Ranged damage dealt. Reduces Healing Effectiveness by 95%
