As a seasoned gamer with countless hours under my belt in various RPGs, I can confidently say that Metaphor: ReFantazio has captured my heart with its intricate magic system and vast array of Archetypes. However, the enigma that is the Seraphic Igniter has left me scratching my head more times than I’d like to admit.
In the realm of ReFantazio, there are numerous characters who excel at mastering spells through their unique Archetypes. However, you also have the option to arm these characters with Igniters, which allow them to learn even more spells. While the common folk of Euchronia utilize Igniters for magic, your party’s Archetypes can still wield magic effectively. This doesn’t mean, however, that Igniters are without purpose in this context.
Characters can wield igniters that function either as allies or adversaries, and they grant you the ability to cast spells once attached to your character as an accessory. The most powerful igniter in the game is likely the Seraphic Igniter, which endows the user with the skill Mage Omniscience. Here’s where to find it.
Where To Get The Seraphic Igniter (Mage Omniscience) In Metaphor: ReFantazio
To acquire the Seraphic Igniter, you need to achieve these steps:
- Heavy Almighty damage to all enemies.
- 60 MP
Is The Seraphic Igniter Worth It In Metaphor: ReFantazio
Initially, the Igniter might appear to be a valuable addition due to its impressive stats on paper, but it may not necessarily be the optimal choice for your team. Here’s the reason: Mage Omniscience and Megidola are essentially the same spell, with Megidola costing just 20 MP. The Warlord Archetype can master Megidola, which is the final Archetype in the commander Lineage. Furthermore, Megidola serves as a Synthesis skill for Archetypes within the Commander lineage, provided they have a Gunner or Summoner lineage Archetype.
Almighty damage is a good option to have, as it will always go through and ignore any resistances an enemy has, though it does miss out on potentially landing weaknesses or critical hits. Mage Omniscience also costs 60 MP, which is very high even later in the game for a single attack. While Almighty damage is a good backup tool against very specific enemies, it’s not worth the cost of this Igniter. If you’re looking for other sources of Almighty damage, the following Archetypes learn skills that deal Almighty damage:
- Merchant – Gold Attack
- Tycoon – Gold Rush
- Warlord – Megidola
- Prince – Royal Slash
