I’m really excited about the combat in Where Winds Meet! It looks like the weapon you choose isn’t just about damage – it actually is your fighting style. Each weapon unlocks a whole Martial Arts set, giving you tons of different moves, abilities, and skills to learn. They’re saying there are twelve different sets to unlock, and loads of ways to upgrade each one, so it sounds like you can really build a character that plays exactly how you want!

This guide covers all 12 Martial Arts in Where Winds Meet, explaining how to unlock each one.

Heavenquaker Spear

Infernal Twinblades

Southern Qinghe, Moonveil Mountain

Midnight Mercy – Sanctum

Bring a Dragon Key and infiltrate the location to steal this Martial Art.

You can also choose this option when you first report an Oddity to Qi Sheng, before you unlock the location mentioned earlier.

The third method involves joining the Midnight Sect outright.

Inkwell Fan

Northern Qinghe

Inkwell Fan – Sanctum

Bring a Dragon Key and infiltrate the location to steal this Martial Art.

Mortal Rope Dart

Kaifeng City, Kaifeng Region

Martial Hall, South Gate Avenue

Disguise yourself and infiltrate the location to learn this Martial Art.

Alternatively, you can join the Nine Mortal Ways Sect.

Nameless Sword

Unlocked by default at the start of your adventure.

Nameless Spear

Unlocked by default at the start of your adventure.

Panacea Fan

North-eastern Qinghe

Silver Needle – Sanctum

Bring a Dragon Key and infiltrate the location to steal this Martial Art.

You can also choose this option when you first report an Oddity to Qi Sheng, before unlocking the location. This is the suggested method.

The third method involves joining the Silver Needle Sect outright.

Soulshade Umbrella

Eastern Kaifeng Region

Soulshade Umbrella – Post Station

Infiltrate the location to steal this Martial Art.

Alternatively, you can join the Hollow Vale Sect.

Stormbreaker Spear

Reach level 3 in the game and look for an email called “Raging Tides General’s Gift.” Be sure to open the email and claim the reward to get this new Martial Art.

Strategic Sword

Southern Qinghe Region

Strategic Sword – Sanctum

Bring a Dragon Key and infiltrate the location to steal this Martial Art.

Thundercry Blade

Southern Kaifeng Region

Thundercry Blade: Well of Heaven Martial Camp

Infiltrate the location to steal this Martial Art.

You can also choose this option when you first report an Oddity to Qi Sheng, before you unlock the location mentioned earlier.

The third method involves joining the Well of Heaven Sect.

Vernal Umbrella

Kaifeng City, Kaifeng Region

Ninefold Umbrella – Time Tower, North Ma Xing Street

Infiltrate the location to steal this Martial Art.

You can also choose this option from the four choices you see when you first report something unusual to Qi Sheng.

Before you can learn any stealing techniques, you first need to unlock the Skill Theft ability. You get this from completing the ‘Unearned Lesson’ quest with Qiu Yuehai on Qinghe Moonveil Mountain. The Disguise Skill, obtained from Wuyan through the ‘Disguise: Veil of Love’ quest in Kaifeng City, is also helpful – it’s even required for learning the Mortal Rope Dart Martial Art.
