The “Road to Redemption” is a quest in Where Winds Meet that tasks players with assisting the monk Daohui in the Halo Peak area of Qinghe. Like other quests of its type in WWM, it doesn’t offer quest markers, making it challenging to navigate and complete.

How to Start the Road to Redemption Wandering Tale
To start the Road to Redemption quest, go to the spot shown on the map. You’ll find Daohui, a monk, praying before a small Buddha statue near a mountain in the Halo Peak area.
If you speak with Daohui, he’ll explain that he’s seeking redemption for past wrongs connected to the Pagoda of Karmaful Karma, located in the Bodhi Sea. He won’t directly ask for your help, but he’s hoping someone will find an item called the “Illegible Final Note.”
Road to Redemption Walkthrough
You can find the “Illegible Final Note” at the Pagoda of Karmaful Karma, located in the Yongfu Temple within the Bodhi Sea region, just east of Halo Peak. The Yongfu Temple isn’t shown on the map, so use the map marker in the screenshot to find it in the Bodhi Sea.
If you’ve finished the Bodhi Sea Campaign Quest and learned the Flaming Meteor skill, you can instantly travel to Yongfu Temple using the Bodhi Sea teleport – it’s marked by a red umbrella on your map. Otherwise, you’ll need to cross the swamp using the wooden bridges.
Okay, so when I teleport to the Bodhi Sea, I land right in front of a big drum inside the Temple. The first thing I need to do is turn around and activate my Wind Sense – that’s the ‘V’ key for me!
If you look to the right, toward the Temple entrance, you’ll see an item on the steps just below the doorway. This is the Illegible Final Note, which you need to finish the Road to Redemption quest.
If you’re having difficulty locating the note, check near the Assist Signposts just outside the temple – the Illegible Final Note is located right beside them.
Road to Redemption Rewards
Return to Daohui at Halo Peak and deliver the Illegible Final Note to finish the quest. You’ll then receive your rewards.
