In these scenarios, those who ended up in 1-A received Quirks they didn’t inherently possess, with each student experiencing vastly dissimilar circumstances. These exceptional individuals shattered norms, and it seems likely that others may do the same in the future world of My Hero Academia, given the immense power that support items now hold within the series.

This was evident in his unwavering ambition to join UA High School and his strategic decision to take the entrance exam before his life-changing encounter with All Might and One For All.

In Episode 1, one of his peers teased Midoriya by saying something like, “You can’t possibly join the Hero Course unless you have a special power!

It was entirely unheard of for an individual to attend UA without possessing a Quirk, a truth that Deku himself recognized given his extensive knowledge and insight into the hero community.

To put it simply, Izuku, who was born without a Quirk, became one of the initial students at UA. However, he relied on a Quirk that was later bestowed upon him. Although he now had a Quirk, Izuku could only use it sparingly due to the risk it posed to his unaccustomed body. Consequently, in the early stages, Izuku primarily relied on his intellect and natural strength to keep up with his fellow students who possessed powerful Quirks. Remarkably, he even won first place during the Sports Festival race without using his Quirk at all throughout the competition. This is quite an achievement considering the direct competition he faced from other Quirk users.

For most of the series, it isn’t until later that we learn Yuga was born without a Quirk, which is kept secret from viewers initially. It’s eventually unveiled that All for One, the main antagonist, bestowed his own Quirk upon Yuga under duress. To protect his family from All for One, Yuga found himself working as a double agent to advance the villain’s plans, all while secretly despising his role and finding common ground with Izuku, another character whose body couldn’t handle their respective Quirks.

As I, the thrilled bearer of the extraordinary Navel Laser Quirk, discovered, initially, maintaining the continuous beam emanating from my navel button for over a second was next to impossible without the assistance of a supportive belt item. It’s worth noting that even though they both gained abilities, Izuku and Yuga utilized support items at different stages to carry out their heroic duties effectively. In the series finale, it is shown that Izuku continues his hero work using a specialized suit post-war events. Given the advancements in support items in the universe of My Hero Academia, it’s possible that individuals born without Quirks might also qualify for UA’s hero course down the line.
