Though only briefly discussed, it’s clear the Galleila will be significant to the story’s overall plot.

The Galleila Giants are expected to be key players in the final arc of One Piece, and they’ll likely be crucial in taking down the World Government. Many fans are unfamiliar with who they are and what they can do, so let’s take a closer look.

The Galleila Are A Band Of Hammer-Wielding Giants

The Galleila Giants are powerful warriors from the land of Elbaf, known for their incredible strength and skill with hammers. They’re even stronger than most giants, including the already formidable Ancient Giants, and are often called Warrior Giants to emphasize their immense power.

The Galleila Giants were highly skilled shipbuilders, responsible for creating the massive and intricate ships used by the Giants in the One Piece world. This expertise connects them to Water 7, where the Galley-La Company now operates as top-level shipwrights serving the Grand Line.

Many fans haven’t realized this connection yet, but the creators of the Warship Pluton were actually the Galleila Giants of Elbaf. Pluton was built during the Void Century in Water 7, and the Galley-La Company in Water 7 is inspired by the Galleila Warrior Giants. This means these Giants, known for their shipbuilding skills, were responsible for building the incredibly powerful warship capable of destroying islands – which explains their significance in the story.

What Happened To The Galleila In One Piece?

It’s still a mystery what happened to the Galilea Giants. However, Jarul says they embarked on an expedition years ago, and he later received a letter from them confirming they’d been captured. He still has that letter, and their current location is still unknown.

Sadly, he wasn’t able to locate them. However, Linlin revealed that this group of giants is actually frozen somewhere. This connects back to the Punk Hazard arc, where Oda previously showed a frozen group of giants. It seems the Galleila Giants are currently located in Punk Hazard.

How Will The Galleila Giants Return?

The story has already shown us the Galleila Giants will return, and they’re vital to winning the war against the World Government. Rocks believed that locating and controlling the Giants was key to defeating Imu.

He also explained that only Harald could give orders to these Giants, meaning the warriors would only follow Loki or Nika.

Loki Could Find The Galleila Giants in One Piece

Before his death, Rocks shared his knowledge of the Galleila Giants with Loki. This suggests that when Loki departs Elbaf—perhaps alongside the Straw Hat Pirates—he’ll seek out these Giants and recruit them to help defeat the World Government. Oda subtly hinted at this by giving Loki Ragnir, a hammer said to be the most powerful of its kind.

After the events at Elbaf, Loki and the Straw Hat Pirates are expected to encounter the Galleila Giants on Punk Hazard. This will likely happen either before the final war starts, or right as it begins. The Galleila Giants need to be prepared for the war, as they are strongly connected to the Ancient Weapon Pluton and are the only ones who can activate it.

I’ve been following the One Piece story closely, and it looks like things are getting really interesting! There’s a real possibility Blackbeard might try to steal Pluton, now that he knows about it. To counter that threat, it seems the Thousand Sunny – or rather, the team aboard – will have Franky build a new Pluton. It’s a clever move, and I can’t wait to see how it all plays out.

The Galleila Giants Will Fight The Government

According to Gunko, the side that controls the Giants will have a huge edge in the upcoming war. This is particularly true if the legendary Galleila Giants are discovered – they’re a formidable group of warrior Giants known for their powerful hammers, and they were responsible for the Giants’ conquest of the New World long ago. They are expected to return and fight against the World Government, potentially with Luffy and Loki at their helm.

Because they are known for causing destruction, it’s likely these beings worship Nika, the Sun God, who is believed to dismantle the existing world and usher in a new era.
