The Various Major Revelations of Part 3

Origins of The BLEACH Universe, The Soul King’s Name, Character Relationships

One of the most compelling elements of the climactic storyline in BLEACH lies in its exploration of the connections between characters who have been established earlier, revealing the complex web of bonds that unite not only the Shinigami, but also the Quincies. This arc’s revelation of the hidden truths within the series’ mythology, set against the backdrop of Yhwach’s devastating war, offers an ideal context to explore the intricacies of the relationships between the captains and lieutenants in Seireitei, while also providing insights into the characters themselves.

Ukitake plays a significant role in the third part, as we learn that he was the host for a god named Mimihagi, which is actually the Right Arm of the Soul King. In a selfless act, Ukitake delayed the impending separation of realms by allowing Mimihagi to leave his body and reunite with the Soul King, who had been split apart by Ichigo, who had been influenced by Yhwach’s power.

In the third installment, the truth unfolds about how the BLEACH universe, as we understand it, came into being, along with the original transgression of the Shinigami – the brutal slaying and disfigurement of the Soul King to keep him as a pivot for the boundaries between realms he established. This act instigated the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth that forms the core of the series’ narrative. Yhwach then annihilates Adnyeus (the actual name of the Soul King) and refashions his palace to suit himself, resulting in the Quincy stronghold known as Welt. This city became the battleground for confrontations between Yhwach’s Schutzstaffel and the surviving Shinigami forces. Each battle was meticulously crafted, offering deep insights into various themes while providing powerful conclusions to character arcs.

Atmosphere and Character Relationships and Thematic Battles Bolstered By Soundtrack and Direction

Part 3’s Exploration of Character Relationships Was The Best So Far

Similar to previous sections, Part 3 featured reworked themes from the original series, including “Here To Stay,” which resonated during Nemu’s emotional demise in her battle against Pernida Parnkgjas. This arc also delved into Kyōraku’s bond with Nanao, who is surprisingly his niece, explored Uryū’s reasons for joining the Sternritter, detailed Bazz-B’s childhood camaraderie with Jugram Haschwalth and his animosity towards Yhwach, and unveiled numerous other profound disclosures.

In simple terms, it was disclosed that Kyoraku’s heavy responsibility was the Shinken Hakkyoken, an ancient ceremonial sword belonging to the Ise Clan and held by him at his sister-in-law’s request as she believed it was the source of a family curse that claimed the lives of men who married into the family. In the series, a character named Nanao, who had never encountered any enemies before, unexpectedly faced a divine adversary that overpowered Kyoraku and his theatre-themed Bankai. However, she managed to defeat Lille Barro through an unforeseen event or intervention, often referred to as deus ex machina.

In total, five episodes from Part 3 are in the top 10 highest rated episodes of the arc so far.

The episode titled “To Chase a Shadow,” from Kyoraku’s Bankai series in the Thousand-Year Blood War arc, has soared to the top position on IMDb, boasting a remarkable rating of 9.7/10. Episodes such as “Baby Hold Your Hand 2,” “Shadows Gone,” and “friEND” are close behind with ratings of 9.5. In fact, five episodes from the third part are currently among the top ten highest-rated episodes in the arc. The emotional climax of Part 3 was undoubtedly Kurotsuchi’s battle against Pernida, as we discovered the heartrending backstory of Nemu, who turned out to be the seventh creation of the Nemuri Project – a project aimed at creating an entirely artificial soul; a masterpiece that Kurotsuchi himself referred to as “a dream he lives while awake.

In the storyline, it was believed that Uryu Ishida had betrayed his friends. However, it was later revealed that he had joined the Sternritter to get near Yhwach and ultimately kill him as retribution for his mother’s death, which occurred nine years earlier on the same day Ichigo’s mother passed away. Throughout this arc, Uryu’s similarities with Ichigo become more apparent, and a significant encounter between them at school further explores the reasons behind Uryu’s tense relationship with his father.

The Anime-Only Fights Were All Very Exciting

Uryū’s Quincy: Vollständig is Revealed and Put to the Test in Multiple Incredible Battles

In Part 3 of the BLEACH anime series, Uryū’s fights were particularly noteworthy, many of which were not depicted in the original manga. For instance, his intense battle with Ichigo at the Soul King’s Palace showcased exceptional animation and fight choreography, culminating in one of the most gripping endings to a fight in the series. Additionally, Uryū’s fight against Renji following Yhwach’s creation of Welt was another highlight.

In the manga version of BLEACH, we never got to see Uryū using his Quincy: Vollständig form. However, in Part 3, this aspect of Uryū’s character was finally brought to life during these significant battles, and in fights that stood out not just within the third cour, but also throughout the entire arc.

Experiencing the battles in “BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3” was nothing short of remarkable. As an onlooker, I found myself utterly captivated by the continuation of Yhwach versus Ichibē Hyōsube and Shutara Senjumaru against the Schutzstaffel. The anime-exclusive battles were equally engrossing, as were the intense showdowns between Kyōraku and Lille Barro, and Kurotsuchi against Pernida. Each encounter was not only thrilling but also skillfully animated, even during the brief instance when Pernida seemed a bit peculiar. The way each new twist was unveiled added depth to the narrative, enhancing the original content. All in all, it was a brilliant adaptation that marked a significant triumph in one of anime’s most spectacular comebacks.
