The latest season of Disney Dreamlight Valley, named Wonderland Whimsy, has brought Alice from Alice in Wonderland into the Valley. This incorporation of the Silver Age film has broadened the character selection in Disney Dreamlight Valley, as it introduces a figure hailing from the latter part of Walt Disney Animation Studio’s history, distinctly different from the game’s current cast. Players have been thrilled by this development, expressing their desire for more representation of older films produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios within Disney Dreamlight Valley. However, the focus of this update and one of its ongoing events suggests that a collaboration with another Disney property might not be imminent in the near term.
Absolutely, it’s common knowledge that Disney Dreamlight Valley often incorporates themed events, whether they align with the game’s current update or coincide with a holiday. Interestingly, an upcoming movie release from the media giant could have provided an excellent opportunity to introduce additional content for a character who is already part of Disney Dreamlight Valley.
The Cheshire Cat Chaos Event
In the latest update titled “Wonderland Whimsy,” two beloved characters from “Alice in Wonderland,” Alice herself and the mischievous Cheshire Cat, made their way into Disney Dreamlight Valley. The mayhem that the Cheshire Cat is known for in “Alice in Wonderland” has inspired a new event called “Cheshire Cat Chaos.” This event started on May 7 and will end on May 20. During this time, paw prints mysteriously appeared within the realms. Players can clear these prints using their Watering Can, thereby completing Dreamlight Tasks and earning Alice in Wonderland-themed furniture items as rewards.
Additionally, cracks are appearing all over the Valley because of this event. Players can fill these cracks by digging with their shovels, which will reward them with unique memories and furniture pieces.
There are four missions linked to the Cheshire Cat Chaos: “Tranquilizing Turmoil,” “Tidy Your Domain!,” “Jungle Mishaps,” and “Beyond an Illusion.” The initial mission involves players filling in cracks within the Valley, whereas the subsequent three require players to erase paw prints from the Toy Story Universe, Lion King Realm, and Aladdin Kingdom individually. To successfully complete the Cheshire Cat Chaos event, one needs characters like Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Simba, Nala, Jasmine, and Aladdin. However, the main character from Disney’s upcoming film is not necessary for those aiming to stop the Cheshire Cat’s mischief. Instead, players will have the option to interact with Stitch at their leisure.
Lilo & Stitch Hits Theaters Soon
On May 23, the real-life version of “Lilo & Stitch” from Walt Disney Animation Studios premieres to mark the start of Memorial Day Weekend. Stitch is one of Disney’s most identifiable figures, with a continuous supply of merchandise and content for the cute yet chaotic alien. Interestingly, Stitch wasn’t introduced in “Disney Dreamlight Valley” during its beta or initial launch. Instead, the adorable alien was included in the Mission in Uncharted Space Update (v.1.2). Considering that this was only the second update “Disney Dreamlight Valley” had ever received, Stitch became one of the early characters in the popular simulation game. However, it seems like “Disney Dreamlight Valley” has been cautious about adding too much Stitch-related content, but maybe Gameloft and Disney are being overly conservative.
In just three days following the Cheshire Cat Chaos event’s conclusion, the real-life version of “Lilo & Stitch” hits cinemas. Although there’s a chance that Disney Dreamlight Valley might host a Stitch-themed event within this short timeframe, it’s quite tight. It’s possible that new Stitch-themed items could be introduced to the game’s Premium Shop instead. In fact, similar strategies have been employed before, like when they added several Star Wars bundles for May 4th (Star Wars Day). Unfortunately, this time around it seems Stitch won’t bask in the limelight, but given his popularity among Disney fans, he’s likely to shine again under Disney Dreamlight Valley’s spotlight at a later date.
