It takes a significant amount of time, talent, financial resources, and studio backing to achieve this. To demand that Guillermo del Toro and Mike Mignola complete the trilogy because they owe it to the fans sounds a bit entitled. However, given the deep loyalty of Hellboy’s fanbase, it is only fair for them to see the story concluded by del Toro and Perlman, who started it back in 2004. If Peter Jackson had been unable to complete The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers with Return of the King, that would have been unacceptable
