Why Marvel Rivals Shouldn’t Sleep on One Customization Option

As a seasoned gamer and long-time Marvel enthusiast, I can’t help but feel that the developers of Marvel Rivals have left a golden opportunity untapped. With hours upon hours spent battling it out as my favorite superheroes, the in-game announcer Galacta has become as familiar to me as an old friend, albeit one with a somewhat monotonous tone.

With the debut of “Marvel Rivals“, both enthusiasts of superheroes and shooters are in for a thrilling journey. They’ve been immersed for hours, battling their way past famous Marvel characters, overpowering mighty heroes and villains. As the first full season of “Marvel Rivals” approaches, there are more exhilarating journeys ahead for players. However, as tempting as that sounds, there’s one aspect the studio should seriously consider delving into.

Hey there, fellow gaming enthusiast! Right now, I’m totally immersed in the Marvel Rivals universe, and let me tell you, the customization options are off the charts. There are tons of skins to snag, emotes and tags to play around with, and profile banners to earn – it’s a treasure trove of goodies!

Marvel Rivals Could Do Wonders With Announcer Packs

Marvel Rivals Could Tap Into its Roster For Unique Announcers

Currently, I’m thoroughly enjoying how Galacta takes charge in every match of Marvel Rivals, setting the scene, keeping us updated on the game’s progression, and managing all aspects of the conflict. However, it feels like she’s hogging the spotlight. After all, there are numerous other Marvel characters who could bring their unique perspectives to narrate the fight. Characters that are already part of Marvel Rivals would add an extra layer of immersion and excitement. It’d be fantastic to see more diversity in the commentary, making each match feel fresh and engaging.

  • Captain America
  • Groot
  • Hela
  • Iron Man
  • Loki
  • Spider-Man

Captain America could root for players through all sorts of motivational speeches, while Groot could add a comedic twist to the announcing as players would have no idea what he was saying. Hela or Loki could mock them, Iron Man could provide all sorts of snarky comments, and Spider-Man would engage in classic Spidey shenanigans as he keeps players informed on what is happening. And while these may be some of the more obvious announcers, NetEase could truly fit whoever it wanted into the role.

Marvel Has Tons of Characters That Could Shine as Announcers

Instead of only limiting the announcer packs to the extensive roster of “Marvel Rivals”, there are numerous other Marvel characters waiting to take center stage. Currently, Galacta is not a playable character, and we don’t have any updates about her potential inclusion. Therefore, it seems reasonable for NetEase to keep exploring the broader Marvel universe, drawing from both comic books and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Among numerous characters, several seem perfectly suited to fill such a role, although not all might be ideal additions to the team. Nick Fury appears to be an obvious pick to direct players through combat scenarios, much like J.A.R.V.I.S or F.R.I.D.A.Y have frequently informed Iron Man about events. Professor X, who has dedicated his life to guiding heroes, could also fit this role admirably. Characters such as Agatha Harkness or the Ancient One might bring a unique twist to this position as well.

It appears that Marvel Rivals announcer packs have immense possibilities, and it’s hoped that the studio will explore this idea. These packs could not only enrich the battle pass but also make excellent rewards for hero challenges and store cosmetics. Regardless of their form, players would probably be thrilled to spice up their gaming experience with items like these.
