Fans of the series “One Piece” are eagerly anticipating that Nico Robin will have her spotlight in Elbaf and finally unveil a power she’s been due for quite some time, Haki. While it’s not unusual for even minor characters in “One Piece” to possess Haki, only four members of the Straw Hat crew can effectively use it. However, this could potentially shift with Nico Robin in Elbaf.
Nico Robin Might Get Haki In Elbaf
Fans Think This Is Long Overdue
So far, the Elbaf arc in One Piece has been captivating audiences, with most fans expressing their enjoyment. The narrative has been rich with revelations about the lore and has introduced a fresh batch of intriguing antagonists: the Holy Knights.
It appears that the Elbaf arc stands out distinctly from previous arcs in One Piece, leading to sky-high anticipation among fans.
Over the recent chapters, the Straw Hat Pirates – specifically Nami, Jinbe, Brook, and Usopp – met their match against a single Holy Knight named Gunko, suffering defeat. Meanwhile, Robin and Chopper managed to evade another Holy Knight, Sommers, who overcame Saul in combat. Fans were displeased by this turn of events, but it appears the tide may be shifting now.
Among the cherished figures in the storyline, Nico Robin has made a firm decision and is gearing up to face off against Sommers. With high anticipation from the audience, it’s speculated that this encounter may mark Robin’s introduction to Haki, furthermore strengthened by the presence of Scopper Gaban, the left-hand man of the Pirate King.
Gaban has the skills to instruct her in the art of Haki, a knowledge that would prove indispensable given the escalating power of the enemies the Straw Hats are up against. With just four of the crew members proficient in Haki, mastering this skill becomes increasingly crucial as the Final Saga grows more challenging.
I won’t let them! — Robin and Gaban in One Piece 1147
It’s high time Nico Robin learns Haki. Given her association with the Revolutionary Army during her two-year training stint, she could have picked it up then. Regardless of when, it’s important now. Both fans and her Japanese voice actress, Yuriko Yamaguchi, seem to be eager for Robin to master Haki. Reports suggest that Yamaguchi even asked the creator, Oda, directly, with him responding that he would consider it, although a final decision is yet to be made. Whether these reports are true or not, the fact remains that as an elite member of the Straw Hat Pirates, Robin needs Haki to enhance her abilities.
For her, this fight carries significant weight because she aims to honor her late friend, Saul, who suffered at the hands of Sommers. Moreover, the thought of the Holy Knights destroying the library and its invaluable literature is something Robin simply cannot abide.
Which Type of Haki Should Robin Get?
Robin Needs Armament Haki The Most
It’s ideal for a character to master both forms of Haki, Armament and Observation. However, it doesn’t always happen that way. Characters with varying focuses may only learn one type, or they might specialize in a single aspect.
As a bystander, I’ve noticed a prevailing wish among fans for Nico Robin to master both forms of Haki. However, should she acquire just one, it seems the majority are rooting for her to obtain Armament Haki.
It would greatly benefit her to use observation skills since they allow her to anticipate attacks and detect potential dangers from afar. However, given her unique Devil Fruit power, armament might serve her better instead. This preference is primarily because of the characteristics associated with her Devil Fruit ability.
Using the Hana Hana Fruit, Nico Robin has the ability to grow new limbs in various locations. However, this power comes with a potential risk of harm if these newly-grown parts are injured. Employing Armament Haki would make her safer and provide her with the means to release more powerful attacks.
Moreover, during the Wano arc, Nico Robin employed a novel technique against Black Maria, known as Demonio Fleur. Coated in Haki, this new form poses a significant danger and undeniably serves as an impressive boost to her power level.
Regarding the Conqueror’s Haki, it appears highly improbable that Nico Robin will acquire this ability because it is rare and typically granted at birth. Although she possesses strong determination, it seems less probable that author Eiichiro Oda would choose to endow her with this particular power.
